The moment GWS coach Leon Cameron had to make a “really, really hard decision” in 2020 has been made public.
A trailer for Amazon Prime’s upcoming documentary, Making Their Mark, has now revealed the moment captain Stephen Coniglio was informed of his dumping ahead of the club’s Round 17 clash.
Back in September, Foxfooty.com.au senior AFL reporter Tom Morris exclusively revealed the news to the general public, breaking the story on the Friday before the game.

“This is a really, really hard decision. I’m not going to play you this week,” Cameron said in the trailer.
It left the midfielder questioning what to do.
“How do I go from here? I’ve just been dropped from the team,” Coniglio said.
The Giants lost to Melbourne in that clash before Coniglio was recalled for the final game of the season.
He collected 23 disposals in Round 18, averaging 21 touches for the year.
The seven-part documentary series follows players and executives from six teams.
Nic Naitanui (West Coast Eagles), Eddie Betts (Carlton), Rory Sloane (Adelaide Crows), Stuart Dew (Gold Coast Suns), Richmond’s senior leadership team (Peggy O’Neal, Brendon Gale and Damien Hardwick) and Coniglio (GWS Giants).
It premieres on March 12.
