Haydn Bunton Snr leads a star-studded southern NSW and ACT Team of the Century

TRIPLE Brownlow medalist Haydn Bunton Sr named captain of a star-studded Southern NSW and ACT Team of the Century.

TRIPLE Brownlow medalist Haydn Bunton Sr has been named captain of the Southern NSW and ACT Team of the Century.

The star-studded line-up includes seven Brownlow Medalists and eight members of the AFL Hall of Fame.

The six players named in the forward line have kicked 3229 goals between them.

The midfield have four Brownlow medallists, comprising Bunton (1931, ’32, ’35), Paul Kelly (1995), Shane Crawford (1999) and Brian Gleeson (1957).

Allan Jeans, who grew up in Finley, was named the coach. Jeans coached Hawthorn to three premierships and St Kilda to their only flag in 1966.
