GREATER Western Sydney forward Devon Smith has chosen Essendon as his preferred club for 2018, according to Fox Sports.
Smith was one of the most in-demand players this trade period, with Carlton, Collingwood and St Kilda also in the mix for the exciting forward.
Smith toured both Carlton and Essendon’s facilities last week.

The 24-year-old was drafted by the Giants with pick 14 in the 2011 National Draft and went on to play 109 games with the club.
Following an injury interrupted 2017, Smith was overlooked for the Giants’ preliminary final against Richmond.
