Long-gone are the days of footy trips to Bali and Thailand.
Italy seems to be the destination of choice for a swag of AFL players who have wasted no time jetting off overseas in the wake of the grand final and best-and-fairest awards nights.
From Capri to Positano, Rome and Cinque Terre, a number of the game’s top stars have switched their footy boots for Birkenstocks to tread the famous cobblestones and enjoy an Aperol spritz or two.
And thanks to Instagram, we get a front-row seat as we desperately search for signs of spring weather.
But its not all beer and Skittles.
A group of Swans including Nick Blakey and Joel Amartey were snapped racking up the kilometres in London’s Hyde Park this week, while Collingwood premiership star Isaac Quaynor has been hitting the gym in Bali after heading to the Indonesian island with a group of his teammates.
