Embattled Carlton president Luke Sayers is under pressure to return to Australia and address fallout from his deepening “dick pic” scandal.

Clients and shareholders of Mr Sayers’ consultancy company were contacted on Thursday and informed that the Blues boss would not be returning from vacation in Italy until the end of the month.

All questions from concerned Sayers Group investors have been directed to his personal assistant.

“He should’ve been on the way home days ago,” one insider told the Herald Sun.

It emerged on Thursday that Mr Sayers had lost a key lieutenant, Tom Considine, from his consulting business.

Mr Considine has started at rival firm KordaMentha in a major blow to Mr Sayers’ company.

Mr Considine is widely respected in business circles and was the main player on the Sayers’ Group’s $682,000 contract to plan the redevelopment of the Shane Warne Stand at the MCG.

Sayers Group clients, some of whom run multi-billion dollar empires, were reassured in an email on Thursday that it was business as usual at the firm.

Major backers of the Sayers Group include St Kilda president and Seek co-founder Andrew Bassat, the brother of longtime AFL commissioner Paul Bassat.

Mr Sayers has deleted his social media account since a “dick pic” was sent from it last week tagging the name of a high-ranking executive at Bupa, one of the club’s major sponsors.

He later claimed he was the victim of a hack.

Mr Sayers has also disconnected his old phone number and now has a new SIM card with a new number.

His next public appearance at Carlton is due in February followed by the club’s annual meeting.

Carlton’s board has the power to remove Mr Sayers as president with a vote among itself, rather than having to put it to members.

The AFL remains tight-lipped about the scandal more than a week after the sordid social media posting.
