The Kayo Call Up competition is getting to the pointy end and the shortlist has been whittled down to a top 10.

Some of those aspiring broadcasters headed into Fox Footy studios for a shortlist shoot, where they were told they would partake in a serious interview with Fox Footy talent.

What those aspiring broadcasters didn’t realise, was that ex-Tigers champion Jack Riewoldt was in the control room derailing the interviews.

Former Bulldogs champion Brad Johnson and ex-Hawthorn sharpshooter Ben Dixon had earpieces in and were taking instructions from Riewoldt.

The Fox Footy legends could barely contain themselves.

Cue the chaos!

“We’re nicknames around here, smiling assassin if that’s ok,” Johnson joked with one contestant.

“Ok, yeah...” she said.

Johnson then proceeded to do a handshake with the contestant, before Dixon skulled a glass of water, offering some to a different candidate.

“Want a sip?” he asked.

“I’ll be right thanks, I’m well hydrated,” the contestant laughed.

Nothing was off limits in the light-hearted prank, pushups, pretending to steal a TV and discussions around the best Tasmanian AFL player (no mention for Jack!) all featuring at different points for various contestants.
