Collingwood captain Darcy Moore to step out with new lady at Brownlow

Collingwood captain Darcy Moore is among the AFL’s big stars getting prepped for footy’s night of nights at Crown. See who will be making her debut alongside him.

The Brownlow Medal red carpet can bring out all the emotions: nerves, excitement, pride, fear.

As one partner of a player has noted, most of the ladies who get thrust into the spotlight aren’t models or fashion focused.

Some of those making their debut on Monday night at Crown will no doubt be some of the most talked about.

One is Claudia Piva, partner of Carlton star Adam Cerra, who is stepping out at her first vote count in Melbourne.

The physio student is Cerra’s high school sweetheart and will wear a custom gown by Georgia Young Couture.

“This is our first Brownlow at Crown,’’ she said. “It’s exciting. Georgia is incredible so I feel very fortunate to wear something she’s made for me.”

Other notables making their red carpet debut are Tash Hoole, partner of Richmond’s Tim Taranto and Lulu Scott-Young, partner of Essendon’s Kyle Langford who are both being styled by Paul Versace from Styled by Bloom and wearing gowns by Oglia-Loro Couture.

Brodie Ryan, the partner of previous Brownlow winner and Collingwood legend Nathan Buckley, is wearing a dress by Sean Rentero with stylist Biance Rose.

Port Adelaide’s Jeremy Finalyson will also attend the Brownlow for the first time with wife Kelly who is excited to experience the night.

And Dee Salmin will debut on the arm of Collingwood captain Darcy Moore.

Salmin stepped out with Moore last month at the opening night of Moulin Rouge.

The blonde Triple J personality co-hosts the The Hook Up, a show about sexual situations and surrounding topics.

The demand for Brownlow hair styling has sent Joey Scandizzo’s September into overdrive.

On the day of footy’s night of nights, the South Yarra hairdresser has 23 ladies coming through his villa at Crown.

“When we first started we had a few girls and maybe some guys, but now we’re just inundated,’’ Scandizzo said. “I’ve brought in extra staff and our salon with Eleven Australia is a pop-up with champagne and food, and we’ll run ... til about 5pm.”

Scandizzo also has a Barry drink pop-up station with Bulldogs star Bailey Smith manning the fort for his new alcohol venture.

Among those being styled by Scandizzo are Josh Daicos’s partner Annalise Dalins; Jack Viney’s wife Charlotte; Lizzie Stock, partner of Andy Brayshaw and Claudia Piva, partner of Adam Cerra.
