SHE is the reigning queen of the Brownlow Medal and Rebecca Judd is expected to maintain that lofty status at this year's big night.
Judd has turned to WA designer Aurelio Costarella to create an elegant gown for her turn on the blue carpet.
The new mum is in Perth today for her second fitting.
"Rebecca always looks impeccable and is generally the best dressed, so you are kind of putting yourself on the line each time you create something for her," Costarella said.
"She is a such a dream to work with and she carries gowns so beautifully. It is a pleasure to work with her."
Costarella created the stunning silvery ice blue gown Judd wore to last year's medal. He also dressed her for the 2006 presentation.
He started this year's gown later than usual owing to the birth of Judd's son, Oscar in July.
"The morning that Bec and I scheduled our first phone call to discuss her gown, she did not pick up the phone as she had gone into labour," Costarella said.
"Three weeks ago was the first time we had a chance to chat about colours and styles and last week when I was in Melbourne we did an initial fitting."
While keeping details under wraps, Costarella promised the gown would be "equally as spectacular as last year's".
