NORTH Melbourne is building an imposing AFLW list for its debut next season with the signing of Collingwood duo Jasmine Garner and Jess Duffin the tip of the iceberg.
The Kangaroos have snared Garner, a promising forward, and Duffin, a utility who also plays cricket for Melbourne Renegades.
League best-and-fairest Emma Kearney has already made the switch from the Western Bulldogs and the Roos are today expected to announce a host of other top-liners who will play in blue and white stripes in 2019.

NEW BOSS: CROWS CLOSE ON AFLW COACH
North has pursued Collingwood ruck Emma King and forward Mo Hope, but it needs the AFL to approve the transfers.
The Kangaroos have been linked to Brisbane Lions defender and Rising Star nominee Tahlia Randall.
Randall’s teammate Jamie Stanton, a midfielder who was runner-up in the Lions’ best- and-fairest, has also been mooted as a target and has been linked to the Kangaroos’ VFLW affiliate, Melbourne Uni, this season.
Lion Kaitlyn Ashmore has been linked to North and Bulldog Jenna Bruton is tipped to move to Arden St.
Garner will work with North Melbourne’s next generation academy and said it was the job opportunity, as well as the club’s plan to build an attacking team, that helped her decision.
“When I walked into North it felt right, I got a really good vibe,” Garner said.
“They’re in it to win it from the start.
“They want to win games of footy from the get-go.
“If I can play footy at one club and also work here, I never would have thought that would happen to me.
“It’s a great opportunity and it’s one I took with both hands and I didn’t want to miss out on.”
Duffin said the club’s plans for next year were a selling point.
“When I got here ... the list that they wanted to build, I couldn’t see why I wouldn’t want to come across,” she said.
“I didn’t know names at the time, but the kind of players they were trying to get and the game style they were going to try to create, I felt like that was going to suit how I play.”
Garner had a slow start to last season and was moved to defence by Collingwood, but she’s hoping to re-establish herself as a forward at North.
