AFLW finals week two teams, tips: Eliza West returns for Melbourne, Najwa Allen dropped by Adelaide

Melbourne has recalled a shock omission from its qualifying final loss as its AFLW premiership hopes go on the line this weekend. See the full teams and expert semi-final tips.

Melbourne has recalled midfielder Eliza West for its semi-final against Geelong following her shock omission last week.

West returns to the side after being dropped for the first time since her debut in round 1, 2021, from which she played 35 consecutive games.

Young ruck Georgia Campbell has been dropped for West, with the Demons opting for a smaller side despite Rhi Watt being available after recovering from the concussion she sustained in the round 10 loss Brisbane.

The Cats regain ruck Kate Darby from suspension for the Sunday afternoon clash at Ikon Park, while forward Gabbi Featherston has also been included at the expense of Mel Bragg.

Livewire forward Chloe Scheer (collarbone) was already confirmed to miss the clash, with the Cats holding onto hope she could be available if they progress to a preliminary final in Brisbane against the Lions.

Meanwhile, Adelaide dropped Najwa Allen for its cutthroat semi-final clash with Sydney at Norwood Oval on Saturday night as the Crows look to keep their premiership hopes alive.

Allen had only returned from her three-game suspension last week when the Crows went down narrowly to Brisbane, but she has been replaced in the team by Jess Waterhouse.

The Swans have also made one change to the side that knocked off Gold Coast last week, with Montana Beruldsen taking the place of the injured Rebecca Privitelli.

Beruldsen is a good inclusion for the Swans after recovering from a quad injury, with Privitelli’s season being over after she suffered a Lisfranc injury.
