Two of the key pillars behind Adelaide’s sustained AFLW premiership contention have re-signed.
The Crows extended coach Matthew Clarke and captain Chelsea Randall’s contracts until the end of 2025.
Adelaide chairman John Olsen made the announcement at the team’s best-and-fairests awards on Friday night.
The deals will take Clarke into an eighth season at West Lakes and Randle into her 10th.
Clarke became coach ahead of the 2019 campaign and steered the side to a flag that year before adding another premiership at the start of 2022.
He has guided the side to five preliminary finals in his six years at the helm, losing at that stage this past season.
Randall, who celebrated her 50th game in round 2, had been skipper or co-captain since the inaugural AFLW campaign in 2017, winning three grand finals.
Her individual accolades include four All-Australian selections, claiming the club champion award in 2018 and being adjudged the league’s most courageous player four times.
The 32-year-old said she was loving her football.
“To be sticking around for another two years makes my heart happy,” Randall said.
Adelaide women’s football boss Phil Harper said Randall remained one of the club’s most important players.
Crows chief executive Tim Silvers said Clarke’s leadership had been pivotal to the side’s success.
“I know our squad love playing under him and are really excited for that to continue,” Silvers said.
