ADAM Treloar is not yet a Magpie but Collingwood has managed to secure Melbourne’s Jeremy Howe as part of a massive four-team deal that was completed late on Day 6 of the trade period.

Details have yet to be confirmed, but the deal will see Collingwood also getting Port Adelaide’s pick 68 along with Howe and the Magpies sending Ben Kennedy to Melbourne and Paul Seedsman to Adelaide, while Port Adelaide will gain Jimmy Toumpas from the Demons.

The Demons will also get picks 29 and 50 from Port Adelaide, which will get pick 32 from the Crows.

The Magpies are also believed to have agreed to trade Nathan Freeman to St Kilda for pick 24 and an exchange of later draft picks.

And West Coast has confirmed late on Monday a trade for Essendon’s Jonathan Giles and the Bombers’ pick 62 in exchange for pick 57.

Earlier in the day, Geelong secured its fourth recruit of the trade period after completing a deal for Gold Coast ruckman Zac Smith.

Smith will boost the Cats’ ruck division in a swap for the club’s two third-round draft picks (currently 49 and 53).

He joins Patrick Dangerfield, Lachie Henderson and Scott Selwood as Cats trade and free agency acquisitions.

And the Cats have lost two more players, signing off on a deal today to send forward Josh Walker and untried midfielder Jarrad Jansen to Brisbane for the Lions’ third-round pick in next year’s draft.

Geelong has also done another deal, trading champ Steve Johnson to GWS for a future fifth-round draft pick.

In a busy day of trades, Gold Coast acted quickly to get a replacement for Smith, handing over pick 53 for North Melbourne’s Daniel Currie.

Earlier, Carlton traded Tom Bell to Brisbane.

In the deal Brisbane gains Bell, who finished fourth in the Blues’ best-and-fairest, and Carlton’s third-round draft pick (41) and Carlton gets Brisbane’s second and fourth-round picks — currently 21 and 60.

Bell wanted to return home to be close to his seriously ill father.

With four days remaining until the trade deadline of 2pm Thursday, a long list of players remain up in the air including Chris Yarran, Adam Treloar, James Aish and Ryan Bastinac.
