ESSENDON 118 defeated PORT ADELAIDE 88

Bombers studs: Brendon Goddard (134) raised the bar in the second half including a critical goal in the last quarter. Cale Hooker (134) had a field day across half back while Brett Stanton (117) shrugged off a leg injury.

Bombers duds: Jobe Watson (24) snapped his collarbone in the first quarter. Jake Carlisle's (34) move forward was a flop while Dyson Heppell could only manage 69 points.

Power studs: Robbie Gray (114) tried his guts out kicking three goals from 20 disposals while Brad Ebert (109) had a game-high 36 disposals.

Power duds: Jake Neade (13) could only muster four disposals while Jack Hombsch (38) was subbed out. Jay Schulz (56) failed to capitalise on two set shots late in the final quarter.

FREMANTLE 100 defeated ST KILDA 70

DOCKERS STUD:
ALL about Tendai Mzungu. He scored a mega 130, while Mundy cashed in with 120. Barlow also cracked the ton, while Pavlich hit three figures in his comeback game. Promising signs.

DOCKERS DUD:
AARON Sandilands was subbed out in his first game for the year on just 31. Nat Fyfe might have had 35 touches, but that only equated to 82 points - a downer by his lofty standards.

SAINTS STUD:
THE usual suspects. Jack Steven, Ben McEvoy and Leigh Montagna all tonned up. Dyl Roberton scored 70 against his old mob/

SAINTS DUD:
NAT Wright was subbed out on 34. Tom Lee played better than his 67-point game shows.

MELBOURNE 85 defeated by SYDNEY 116

DEES STUDS:
DEAN Terlich must be close to the buy of the year. He delivered 119, while Jack Fitzpatrick scored 104 from his bag of goals.

DEES DUDS:
JUST the 46 points for bumper buy Mitch Clisby. Max Gawn (72) and Nat Jones (69) were also quiet.

SWANS STUDS: RYAN O'KEEFE doesn't mind the MCG, does he? 152 points for the Norm Smith winner. Kieren Jack scored 138, while Tom Mitchell cracked another ton. Winners everywhere for the Bloods.

SWANS DUDS: SAM Reid tore a quad early, keeping him to just 11. Ben McGlynn only scored 44.

CATS STUDS:
JOEL Selwood lifts for the big ones, that's for sure. The skipper roared out 151, while Jimmy Bartel again tonned up. And Mark Blicavs just keeps the points ticking over - another 81 for him.

CATS DUDS:
TOM Hawkins was beaten by Brian Lake, scoring only 43.

HAWKS STUDS:
SAMMY Mitchell's first half was extraordinary, although he does have some match review panel worries. He finished with 125, while Hale and Gunston were the only other Hawks to hit the 100.

HAWKS DUDS:
CYRIL'S 31 after starting as the sub means he'll be cherry ripe to pick in about three weeks. Great news! Buddy kicked one goal for 61 points. Yikes!

ADELAIDE 69 defeated by WEST COAST 75

CROWS STUDS:
WHO else but Paddy Dangerfield? Dominated all night to finish with 136, while Rory Sloane and Scott Thompson also tonned up. Brad Crouch faded late but still churned out a handy 76.

CROWS DUDS:
JOSH Jenkins kicked just the one goal for 64 points. Sam Jacobs scored the same, while Luke Brown managed just 48.

EAGLES STUDS:
NOT the usual suspects, with Eric Mackenzie and Bradd Dalziell posting mega tons. Matt Priddis's last quarter propelled him to 129, while Josh Kennedy's sealer pushed him above three figures.

EAGLES DUDS:
ANOTHER sub-par score for a sore Nic Nat (79). Andrew Gaff again held out of the game, finishing with 43.

BRISBANE LIONS 116 defeated GOLD COAST 83

Lions studs:
MATTHEW Leuenberger enjoyed a four-quarter dominant display, mustering up 121 points. Pearce Hanley broke his ton drought with 117, while three second-half goals ensured Brent Staker churned out a very handy 110.

Lions duds:
BRENT Moloney was subbed out on just 34 after sustaining a calf injury. Ouch. Just 80 for Daniel Rich.

Suns studs:
TOM Nicholls again racked up the points, finishing with 99. Bennell (106) also impressed.

Suns duds:
DION Prestia crashed back to earth with 68, while Jaeger was solid but not spectacular with 82.

NORTH MELBOURNE 128 defeated RICHMOND 66


Kangaroos studs: Todd Goldstein (131) led 10 Roos in triple figures. He had it all his own way in the ruck finishing with 44 hitouts. Brent Harvey (125) kicked two important goals in the second half as the Tigers threatened while Scott Thompson (119) is on track for All Australian selection. Bastinac, Hansen and Ziebell among the centurions.

Kangaroos duds: Andrew Swallow (78) improved as the game went on while Sam Gibson (55) could only muster 17 disposals. Ben Cunnington was very good in his first game back from personal leave, despite scoring 68 points.

Tigers studs: Few and far between. Nathan Foley (110) and Trent Cotchin (104) were the only Tigers in triple figures.

Tigers duds: Nick Vlastuin (35) played loose in defence and was still unable to get his hands on the ball. Jack Riewoldt's (45) lowly score was helped by two junk time goals while Chris Newman (45) collected 11 disposals.

GWS GIANTS 83 defeated by WESTERN BULLDOGS

Giants studs: Devon Smith (134) had a big day racking up 24 disposals - 12 contested - including six inside 50s. Dylan Shiel and Nich Haynes were solid with 115 and 114 respectively, while Lachie Whitfield finished on 110.

Giants duds: Callan Ward (55) found little space in the clinches finishing with 14 disposals, while Aidan Corr registered 42 points off his seven possessions.

Bulldogs studs: Michael Talia (129) was a rock in defence helping himself to 32 disposals - 10 contested. Luke Dahlhaus (114) had 16 contested possessions while Will Minson (114) won the ruck duel with 45 hitouts. Brett Goodes picked up 25 disposals and took 10 marks for 111 points. Substitute Nathan Hrovat picked up 17 disposals for 83 points.

Bulldogs duds: Ayce Cordy (36) dished off five handballs while Mitch Wallis could only muster 59 points.

BLUES STUDS: TOP five draft picks Matthew Kreuzer, Brock McLean, Andrew Walker and Chris Judd led the scoring. They all bettered 96, while Kreuzer cashed in with 136.

BLUES DUDS: BRYCE Gibbs had just seven kicks and 59 points. Ouch. Unlucky if you had Jarrad Waite - his early knee injury meant he was substituted out on just three points.

PIES STUDS: PENDLES and Swanny, you've done it again.The former bumped out 154, the latter 148 - and what a week to do it with Ablett sidelined. Heath Shaw and Travis Cloke also turned it on, with 115 apiece.

PIES DUDS: BEN Kennedy was again the substitute, restricting him to just 14 points.Clinton Young scored 36 in his first game for the black and white.
