A four-way tie at the top of the News Corp expert tipsters leaderboard is down to two.
AFL reporters Marc McGowan and Liz Walsh tipped seven winners in Round 9, missing the Bulldogs’ road victory against Port Adelaide and North Melbourne’s first win of the season against Hawthorn.
Equal leader Scott Gullan missed those games as well and also showed taking a punt on an upset can backfire in a big way — he tipped Collingwood to win against Sydney by one point and Carlton to inflict Melbourne’s first win of the season.

Neither game was ever in serious doubt, leaving him two tips behind the leaders and one behind Sam Landsberger, who was also a joint-leader before backing David Teague’s men last weekend.
