Dane Swan says this year’s AFL grand final will award the “worst premiership ever to be won” — even if no one will admit it.

Dane Swan missed watching the Yellowstone finale with his girlfriend last night to tune into his old team’s clash against the Kangaroos — and footy fans were the beneficiary.
Swan had a big night on the tweet, dishing out first-class footy smarts, some hilarious gags and a hot take on this year’s premiership.
“Righto let’s see what the Pies dish up ey,” Swan began. “I’m missing the Yellowstone finale tonight and the missus ain’t happy so I hope it’s worth it.
“But in saying that if this is what I get in trouble for these days, I’ll certainly take it. Small wins.”
As he became frustrated with the lack of action in a seven-goal first half, Swan dropped some knowledge that plenty of leather magnets will be trying next season.
“Tell ya a little trick I use to do when someone was having a shot,” he said. “I’d always stand on a point post cause if they kicked it on the full I’d get the kick. Wouldn’t happen all the time but I’d get maybe 10-15 a year. They all add up.”
Smart.
“Another thing you had to do was pretend to be happy for your teammate when he took advantage and kicked a goal when you had a free 30 out straight in front,” Swan added. “You’d be absolutely filthy on the inside but have to smile which would kill ya. And any player says otherwise they lie.”
His most controversial opinion was about the worth of this year’s premiership.
“If your team is gonna be s*** this is the year for it cause this season is absolutely the worst premiership ever to be won,” Swan said. “No player, coach, AFL official or commentator will ever say it which is understandable but no doubt this year has an asterisk.
“No one will care about this season apart from the team that will eventually win it and that is a Dane Swan promise. It’s entertaining us in a horrible time and that’s about it.”
He also had some advice for the teams that miss the top eight. “Surely the sides who don’t make the finals stay up north. No point coming back here. Not sure you’re having a Mad Monday or anything in Melbourne.”
