SuperCoach is back for 2024

10:30PM: SUPERCOACH WRAP

The 70 per cent of players with Nick Daicos will sleep easy after the midfielder had a fantastic start to the season, scoring 130 points against the Giants. He might have a bye coming up but lock him in to your team. The same can be said for GWS midfielder Tom Green who scored 132. He had 30 disposals and kicked a goal. Expect his per cent of owners to rise in the next week. Lachie Ash to me is another player to seriously consider after he scored 133 to tie for first with Pies ruckman Darcy Cameron. Ash at $468,500 could be value if he continues to score high. It was a fantastic night for forwards from the Giants with Jesse Hogan (113) and Callum Brown (103) scoring 100 points or more. Hogan is certain to attract attention from SuperCoach coaches but a few might want to see more from Brown before committing to him. In terms of rookies, Charlie Dean ($123,900) impressed with 55 points as did Toby McMullin ($123,900) for the Giants with 34 in a half. The disappointment of the night in SuperCoach was Jordan De Goey with just 43 points. It’s his lowest score in three years. Do you keep him with the risk of another performance like that, or keep him thinking it is a one-off. There is plenty to ponder for SuperCoach teams.

10:20PM: STATEMENT MADE

GWS have exacted some revenge for last year’s preliminary final loss to Collingwood, beating them by 32 points at ENGIE Stadium in the first game of the AFL season. The Giants got control of the contest after half-time, kicking four goals to zero to open up a 40 point lead at the final break.
Despite Collingwood winning the last quarter the damage was done and the Giants were too good. Callum Brown (five), Jesse Hogan (four) and Brent Daniels (four) kicked 13 goals between them with Lachie Whitfield, Josh Kelly and Tom Green getting more than 30 disposals. The Giants will be a tough team to beat this year. Score: 18.6.(114) to 11.16.(82). SuperCoach wrap coming.

10:10PM: MCMULLIN AN OPTION?

GWS sub Toby McMullin could be a cheap option going forward for SuperCoach teams. He’s scored 30 points with six disposals since he came on at half time to replace Callum Ward. For context, Ward only scored 34 points before he was subbed off and fellow small forward Toby Greene only has 49 points in the match. At $123,900 he could he a handy bench player.

9:58PM: AFL’S DREAM RESULT?

Is this the best few hours in the history of the expansion clubs in the AFL? For the first time in history Gold Coast and GWS will be top-two at the end of the first round. And for the first time both will believe they can contend for the AFL premiership. If the AFL wanted the ideal outcome of going to Sydney and Brisbane in Round Zero, this is it. Four big crowds and having both expansion teams competitive and winning impressively.

9:55PM: GIANTS ARE HOME

A fifth goal to Callum Brown seals an impressive win for GWS against Collingwood. He hasn’t reached 100 SuperCoach points yet, currently on 91, but he should get there by the end of the game. It will be the second game in his career he’s scored more than 100. But this match is clearly his best for the Giants.

9:43PM: SUPERCOACH WRAP - ¾ TIME

Lachie Ash leads all players heading into the final quarter with Nick Daicos and Tom Green not far behind. Lachie Whitfield ($519,000) and Stephen Coniglio ($568,400) have had outstanding third terms to rise into the top ten. Both are on track for impressive SuperCoach games which could put them into consideration in a lot of teams. Another player who could be one to put into teams is Jesse Hogan. He’s averaged more than 75 the past three seasons and is on track to start this year with a 100-plus score. At a price of $419,200, he might be a risk worth taking.

TOP SCORERS THREE QUARTER TIME

Lachie Ash - 112

Nick Daicos - 108

Tom Green - 101

Darcy Cameron - 100

Lachie Whitfield - 91

Kieren Briggs - 91

Jesse Hogan - 89

Stephen Coniglio - 87

Callum Brown - 82

Harry Himmelberg - 76

9:40PM: GIANTS ON TOP

For the second straight match the Giants have kept Collingwood goalless for a quarter. GWS kicked four goals in the third term to extend the margin to 40 points at the final break. GWS have kicked the last six goals of the game and it’s going to be tough for the Pies to come back from here. Score: 14.5.(89) to 6.13.(49)

9:34PM: ASH FIRST TO 100

One player who might be someone to look at is Lachie Ash ($468,500). And only 0.5 per cent of teams have him. He’s scored more than 100 points tonight and last year averaged 83. In last year’s season he scored 80 or more points in 17 games so his consistency was good. Certainly one to keep an eye on, especially if GWS play like it has been tonight.

9:30PM: SUB ACTIVATED FOR PIES

Tom Mitchell ($529,000) has been subbed off for Collingwood and John Noble ($446,900) is on for the Pies. Mitchell scored 59 SuperCoach points for the game.

9:23PM: PIES IN TROUBLE

It might be the night of the Giants in Sydney. Toby Greene kicks a lovely right foot banana and goals for the Giants to extend the margin to 29 points half way through the third term. GWS has kicked the past four goals of the game and have the largest lead of the night.

9:17PM: NOT A GOOD NIGHT OUT

The half a per cent of teams who have Jake Riccardi ($293,700) might be considering a change. He is in 0n -2 in the early stages of the third term and had two disposals but given away two free kicks. The news isn’t much better for those SuperCoach coaches with Jordan De Goey ($539,900), Ash Johnson ($277,900) and Mason Cox ($354,900). All have had quiet nights with De Goey on 22 points, Cox on 19 and Johnson on 12.

9:08PM: WARD OUT

Callum Ward has officially been subbed out of the game with a shoulder injury. Toby McMullin ($123,900) replaces him.

9:05PM: EARLY SUB?

There could be an early sub in the second half with GWS Giant Callum Ward ($418,900) heading off the ground with a shoulder injury. He was tackled to the ground late in the second quarter and landed awkwardly on his shoulder, which saw him head off the ground. He hasn’t come back on yet and may not play any further part in the game. He’s scored 28 SuperCoach point up until that point.

8:55PM: SUPERCOACH WRAP – HALF TIME

You could almost lock Nick Daicos and Tom Green in your team based off the first half. Nick Daicos ($650,000) is on 71 points and is on track for 140+. He might have a bye early but do you really want to risk his price rising up or having an opponent with him?

Tom Green ($621,500) is on 74 after a dominant second quarter, which saw him kick a goal and get 12 disposals. He plays North Melbourne and West Coast in the next two rounds, which is a scary proposition. The leading player on the ground is Pies ruckman Darcy Cameron ($515,200). The ruckman has 15 hit-outs and 10 disposals. GWS ruckman Kieren Briggs ($608,800) is also having a good game with 75 points in the first half. Finally, Collingwood defenders Brayden Maynard ($449,400), Darcy Moore ($505,900) and Isaac Quaynor ($417,200) are all having good games with 54, 52 and 47 SuperCoach points respectively to half time.

TOP SCORERS HALF TIME

Darcy Cameron – 80

Kieren Briggs – 75

Tom Green – 74

Nick Daicos – 71

Lachie Ash – 57

Callum Brown – 57

Jesse Hogan – 56

Stephen Coniglio – 54

Brayden Maynard – 54

Darcy Moore – 52

8:48PM: GIANTS ON TOP AT HALF TIME

Two late goals in red time have given the Giants a 19-point lead at half time. Callum Brown has kicked four goals in his best game for the Giants with Jesse Hogan kicking two in the second term. The Giants have been better at the contest while the Pies have been a bit off their usual best. Score: 10.5. (65) to 6.10. (46)

8:38PM: DAICOS LIFTS

You can’t keep a good player down for too long. Nick Daicos gets the ball inside 50, turns around towards the goalposts and kicks a valuable goal for the Pies. Margin is down to eight points with five minutes to go. The goal puts him up to 79 SuperCoach points, level with Tom Green as the leaders in the contest.

8:28PM: GREEN’S MONSTER QUARTER

GWS Giant Tom Green is having a big second quarter as GWS kick away from the Pies. The Giants lead by 15 points, one of the largest margins in the game. He’s kicked a goal and had six disposals this quarter to skyrocket to 63 SuperCoach points. He could be one of the elite must have midfielders in SuperCoach teams this year.

8:20PM: SUPERCOACH STRUGGLERS

It hasn’t been a great start to SuperCoach for some of the biggest stars of the game. Jordan De Goey ($539,900) only has 14 points, which would leave five per cent of coaches nervous. Scott Pendlebury ($525,100) also only has four points in the game. Both would be a wait and see prospect right now. The same applies to Toby Greene ($508,600) who also only has 14 points. Mason Cox ($354,900) has also struggled early with four points and no disposals yet in the game. Maybe a cheeky swipe from the Giants at the start of the game has had an impact on his game.

8:10PM: SUPERCOACH WRAP AT QUARTER TIME

Lots to unpack after the first term. Callum Brown ($325,000) was the obvious standout but can he keep it going in the final three terms? Both ruckman have scored well with Pies player Darcy Cameron ($515,200) second overall with 38 and Kieren Briggs ($608,800) sixth with 34. Nick Daicos ($650,000) is on track to get to his average but hasn’t really been spectacular so far.

TOP SCORERS QUARTER TIME

Callum Brown – 46

Darcy Cameron – 38

Brody Mihocek – 38

Darcy Moore – 37

Lachie Ash – 37

Kieren Briggs – 34

Isaac Quaynor – 31

Nick Daicos – 30

Will Hoskin-Elliott – 29

Sam Taylor – 27

8:05PM: GIANTS LEAD AT FIRST BREAK

Collingwood midfielder Patrick Lipinski misses a shot on goal right on the siren and GWS lead at quarter time. The Giants kicked the final three goals of the term to turn a nine-point deficit into an eight-point lead. Score: 5.2. (32) to 3.6. (24).

8:00PM: GIANTS ON TOP

GWS has kicked three goals to open up a nine-point lead in the final part of the opening term. Callum Brown ($325,000) has scored 48 points, which is only a couple of points away from his average. He’s kicked three goals and is on track for more than 100 points, which he has only done once in his career.

7:50PM: ENGLISH GIANT STARTS WELL

Giants forward Callum Brown ($325,500) has kicked two goals and is one of the leading Giants players in SuperCoach early. He has 32 points and is on track for one of his highest scores. Collingwood player Brody Mihocek ($365,400) leads the Pies players with 33 points with Nick Daicos ($650,000) starting well with 25 points in the opening 15 minutes.

7:40PM: GREAT CROWD IN

Callum Brown kicks a booming goal from outside 50 and the crowd roars into life in support of the Giants. The game is a sell out at ENGIE Stadium and could break the attendance record at the stadium set in 2017 when 21,924 fans attended the Sydney Derby between the Giants and the Swans.

7:38PM: GAME STARTS

The game is underway and Collingwood opens the scoring with a behind to Jamie Elliott before Brody Mihocek kicks the first goal of the game.

7:30PM: SUPERCOACH WATCH:

All SuperCoach eyes will be on Nick Daicos ($650,000) who is one of the most selected players in the game. Daicos is in 70 per cent of teams, only beaten by Harley Reid, and everyone will be looking to see if he can replicate last year, which saw him average 116 points per game. Another midfielder to look out for is Tom Green ($621,500) from the Giants, who is in 27.9 per cent of teams. Green is a disposal machine and averaged more than 100 for the first time in his career last year. Will be rise again and be a valuable asset to teams? Other heavily selected players include forwards Finlay Macrae ($152,600) and Toby Greene ($508,600) with almost 20 per cent of coaches picking Macrae and almost 15 per cent picking Greene. For Greene he had his best average in four years last year. Another player to look out for is defender Charlie Dean ($123,900) who plays his first game for Collingwood. He is only in three per cent of teams. Finally, SuperCoach guns from the past Lachie Whitfield ($519,000) and Josh Kelly ($568,000) will be players to watch to see if they are in form.

GOLD COAST v RICHMOND: All the SuperCoach scores, stars and big moments

7:15PM: END OF FIRST GAME

We’ll end the coverage of the first game and turn out attention to the second game between GWS and Collingwood. It is a repeat of last year’s preliminary final, which saw Collingwood win by one point. Can GWS turn it around or will Collingwood start its premiership defence in style?

7:05PM: SUPERCOACH WRAP

Matt Rowell ($571,800) had his sixth biggest SuperCoach game of his career, scoring 137 points. He was a beast with 33 disposals and 20 clearances. The last player to have 20 or more clearances in a game was Paul Salmon in 1999. 25 years ago!

He wasn’t alone in scoring big points with fellow Suns Noah Anderson ($586,300), Wil Powell ($513,500) and Sam Flanders ($494,200) all scoring more than 120. Flanders to me is almost a lock in most teams given his price and the way he played. Jayden Short ($551,200) scored 130 and led the way for the Tigers. The 3.5 per cent of coaches who have him will be very happy. In terms of others to look out for, Josh Gibcus ($150,700) scored 77 and will be a lock for most teams in round one. There were also positive signs for Alex Sexton ($133,400) who ended up with 73, his highest score in almost two seasons. Many might have him in their team now. Finally, Connor Budarick ($301,200) will be considered by a lot of coaches after scoring 94.

6:55PM: DIMMA STARTS WITH WIN

The sunny days could be here for the Gold Coast Suns. Damien Hardwick starts his coaching career at the Suns in perfect fashion, beating his former team Richmond by 39 points at People First Stadium. The contest was over in the first half with the Suns playing scintillating football, which could be their best in history. The team led by 61 points, the largest half time lead in history and had every answer for the Tigers. Suns forward Ben King kicked five goals and Matt Rowell had a day out with 33 disposals, which included 26 contested possessions and 20 clearances. Score: 14.15. (99) to 9.6. (60). Full SuperCoach wrap to come.

6:45PM: CONTROVERSIAL CALL ENDS TIGERS RUN

Richmond’s gallant comeback has fallen short with a controversial call helping Gold Coast to maintain a five-goal lead late in the game. Tigers defender Nathan Broad went to rush through a behind but was pinged by the umpire for deliberately doing it with no pressure, resulting in a free kick and goal to Suns forward Malcolm Rosas.

6:40PM: SUNS MAKE CHANGE

The Gold Coast Suns have made their sub, replacing Blake Ellis with Darcy Macpherson. Ellis ($440,100) scored 47 points in SuperCoach before he was subbed out.

6:35PM: SUBS FOR GIANTS AND PIES

The focus might still be on Gold Coast and Richmond but the subs have been announced for GWS and Collingwood.

Toby McMullin ($123,900) is the sub for the Giants with John Noble ($446,900) the sub for the Pies. Only 0.6 per cent of SuperCoach coaches have them in the squad. It will be interesting to see how Noble plays after missing the grand final team last year who won the premiership.

6:30PM: TIGERS FORWARD IMPRESSES

Seth Campbell might be a small forward to take a chance on in round one in SuperCoach. The small forward has kicked two goals during the game and currently has 60 points. For $123,900 he might be a rookie to consider.

6:22PM: SUPERCOACH WRAP – ¾ TIME

Noah Anderson ($586,300) and Matt Rowell ($571,800) cracked 100 points each in the third term with Rowell now the leading disposal winner on the ground with 25. Anderson, with 21 disposals, has had 12 contested possession. Is this the year the number one and two pick from 2019 take their games to a new level? Sam Flanders joined the Suns duo on 100 points during the term but went back to 98 right on the siren. The comeback from Richmond saw Dion Prestia ($454,100) rise into the top ten with 77 points with Jacob Hopper ($439,400), with two goals, moving to 67 points after an impressive third term.

TOP SCORERS THREE QUARTER TIME

Noah Anderson – 104

Matt Rowell – 104

Sam Flanders – 98

Jayden Short – 91

Nick Vlastuin – 90

Jarrod Witts – 88

Touk Miller – 86

Ben King – 81

Will Powell – 78

Dion Prestia – 77

6:20PM: GAME ON

Richmond kicked six goals to zero in the third term to storm back into the contest heading into the final term. Suns still have a commanding lead and the breeze but the Tigers showed some fight in the quarter to give the team a chance. Score: 11.11. (77) to 8.3. (51).

6:10PM: A GAME OF MOMENTUM

And suddenly the contest is back on. Richmond have kicked six goals this term to reduce the margin to 25 points. Shai Bolton ($540,700) has kicked two goals this term, for three in the game, and is now on 68 points. Maurice ($175,500) and Daniel Rioli ($485,700) have also been huge, getting the Tigers back into the contest. Both are on 42 and 41 points respectively in SuperCoach.

6:05PM: BIG BLOWS FOR CARLTON AND BRISBANE

Carlton might have won a thriller last night but it came at a massive cost with Sam Docherty ruled out for the rest of the year with an ACL injury, the third of his career. It’s horrible news for the defender. The news will could now provide an opportunity for Jack Carroll ($123,900) to play. He scored 65 points coming on as a sub for the Blues.

Meanwhile, Brisbane is also counting the cost of the match with Keidean Coleman also ruled out for the season with an ACL injury he suffered before half time. Gold Coast’s Connor Budarick could become an option to replace him with the Sun on 50 points in the match in the third term.

6:00PM: TIGERS COMING BACK

There are signs of life from the Tigers. Richmond has kicked the opening three goals of the third term and have now kicked the last four. Is history repeating itself after last night? Margin is now 42 points.

5:55PM: TIGERS MAKE SUB

The Tigers have made a change early in the third term, subbing off Samson Ryan for Jack Ross. The side will be hoping Ross can provide a lift in the midfield. Ryan ($303,000) scored 13 SuperCoach points.

5:40PM: DILEMMA FOR SUPERCOACH COACHES

The first half might have raised more questions than answers for SuperCoach coaches. Jayden Short ($551,200) impressed for Richmond in a disappointing half for the side with 58 points but Tim Taranto ($596,100) is only on 27, well short of his average.

Tigers young gun Josh Gibcus ($150,700) could be a lock now for most sides with 41 points in the first half. For Gold Coast, there will be some concerns with Alex Sexton ($133,400) who only has 34 points to half time. But with his price he could be worth the risk. Then there is the curious case of Sam Flanders ($494,200). Damien Hardwick said he would he a SuperCoach coaches dream and he is proving that with 68 points to half time. Is he a lock?

5:35PM: SUPERCOACH WRAP – HALF TIME

The Suns might be dominating on the scoreboard but they don’t have the best player in SuperCoach. Nick Vlastuin ($514,700), aided by the ball being in his half of the field for a long time, has 76 points to half time. He has 13 disposals and seven marks. The rest of the list belongs to the Suns with eight of the top 10.

TOP SCORERS HALF TIME

Nick Vlastuin – 76

Noah Anderson – 73

Jarrod Witt – 71

Sam Flanders – 68

Ben King – 68

Will Powell – 61

Matt Rowell – 61

Jack Lukosius – 61

Touk Miller – 59

Jayden Short – 58

5:30PM: HALF TIME — SUNS RED HOT

Is that the best first half of the Gold Coast Suns in history? It would have to be right up there with the team dominant against Richmond. The side kicked 11 straight goals and now lead by 61 points at the main break. The midfield has been electric with forwards Ben King and Jack Lukosius causing nightmares for the Tigers defenders, kicking seven between them. Can Richmond come back or will Gold Coast win for the first time by 100 points? Score is 11.8. (74) to 2.1. (13)

5:25PM: CAMPBELL ENDS THE ROT

Not a bad way to end the Gold Coast Suns run. Tigers player Seth Campbell kicks his first goal on debut, with a snap around his body, to get the sides’ second goal of the match after the Suns kicked 11 straight goals. His friends and family, who are in the crowd, celebrated as did his teammates who got around him. It might be a terrible first half for the Tigers but that moment is a nice highlight for Richmond and Campbell.

5:16PM: CAN THE TIGERS STOP THE RUN?

Gold Coast has now kicked 10 straight goals in the contest and it doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon. Ben King has four goals and he might be starting to become a good option for SuperCoach teams. He has 64 SuperCoach points and is priced cheap at $316,300 compared to other leading forwards.

5:12PM: ROWELL A BEAST

Matt Rowell ($571,800) is dominating the contest but it isn’t translating to SuperCoach success. He has nine contested possessions, seven clearances and 12 disposals but only 36 SuperCoach points. There are nine Suns players in front of him. His disposal efficiency is hurting his chances of scoring more. But his role right now for the Suns is leading them to an impressive lead against the Tigers.

5:07PM: UGLY FOR TIGERS

This is starting to become a nightmare for Richmond. Gold Coast Suns have now kicked eight straight goals and lead by 48 points. While last night Carlton came back from a similar margin to beat Brisbane in a thriller, it looks a tough challenge for the Tigers to do the same with the way the Suns are playing. The Suns have 50 more disposals, double the inside 50s and are leading clearances 17-9.

5:00PM: SUPERCOACH STRUGGLERS

Those SuperCoach players with Alex Sexton ($133,400) and Tim Taranto ($596100) will be nervous early. Sexton has been quiet in the first term, scoring just seven points, despite getting six disposals. But he is at least playing in the defensive 50 so he could improve. Taranto is only on 15 points, well short of his average from last year. Meanwhile, Josh Gibcus ($150,700) started with 20 points in the first term in a solid showing.

4:55PM: SUPERCOACH WRAP QUARTER TIME

The dominance of Gold Coast on the scoreboard has translated to SuperCoach with eight of the top 10 scoring players at quarter time. Noah Anderson leads all players with 45 points, taking the top spot late with nine disposals, two marks and one tackle in the first term.

TOP SCORERS QUARTER TIME

4:52PM: SUNS LEAD AT QUARTER TIME

The Gold Coast Suns have made the perfect start to life under new coach Damien Hardwick. The team leads by 28 points over Richmond at quarter time. 5.4. (34) to 1.0. (6).

4:50PM: TALL TIMBERS STRONG FOR SUNS

Ben King and Jack Lukosius are causing plenty of headaches for Richmond, kicking two goals each as the Suns lead by 28 points. King ($316,300) has scored 35 points with Lukosius ($425,000) on 29 points.

4:40PM: SUNS FANS TAUNT DUSTY AND TIGERS

Is this a sign of things to come? A Gold Coast Suns fan is already taunting Richmond fans, confident Dusty Martin is heading there way next year. He’s created a cardboard cutout of the Richmond superstar in Suns colours.

Gold Coast on the scoreboard is on top early, kicking five straight goals to lead by 27 points.

4:35PM: SUNS ON TOP

The new Gold Coast Suns era under Damien Hardwick is off to a good start. Richmond might have got the first goal but the Suns have responded with the last two to get on top and lead by nine points.

Jarrad Witts ($593,200) is dominating in the ruck, leading hit-outs and also one of the leading in SuperCoach with 23 points. Leading all the players is Suns forward Ben Ainsworth ($426,900). He could be an option in the forward line after his start. He is on 28 points.

4:25PM: BOLTON ON FIRE EARLY

Richmond livewire forward Shai Bolton ($540,700) kicks the first goal of the game and leads all comers with 13 SuperCoach points in the early stages.

4:05PM: SUPERCOACH WATCH

For more than half of SuperCoach coaches, the focus will be on one young Richmond defender. Josh Gibcus ($150,700) is part of 51 per cent of teams heading into the new season. While he’s a great price for many teams, he did miss all of last year with a hamstring injury so it will be interesting to see if he has overcome that. In 2022, his first season at the Tigers, he averaged almost 54 points. A similar score today could see those 51 per cent happy and others consider him.

The other major focus comes from Alex Sexton ($133,400) who is another cheapie in 48.5 per cent of teams. The question is will he be moved into the backline and if so how much can he score? We’ll have to wait as he starts on the bench for the Suns.

Tigers ruckman Sam Naismith ($123,900) is another on high watch as a cheap option. He is in 23 per cent of teams and will start on Jarrod Witts at the first centre bounce.

For me the two to look out for are midfielders Noah Anderson ($586,300) and Tim Taranto ($596,100).

Anderson has averaged more than 100 points the past two seasons and if his game rises to another level this year he could be among the elite scorers in the midfield.

For Taranto it will be interesting to see what role he plays under new coach Adem Yze.

He had his highest average score last year and the 2.8 per cent of coaches who have him will be hoping for another rise this year.

3:45PM: HAS DIMMA FOUND A NEW DUSTY?

Damien Hardwick has spoWAken to Fox Footy’s Jack Riewoldt ahead of his first match as Gold Coast Suns coach. Dimma admits he’s nervous and excited to be coaching his former club in Round Zero.

“Playing against the old team there is a bit more to it,” he said.

“It’s going to be an emotional day.”

Meanwhile, Hardwick has already given a big wrap to one of his Suns, comparing Bailey Humphrey to Dustin Martin. Humphrey impressed in his first season last year, after being picked up with pick number six in the 2022 draft, playing 18 games and kicking 11 goals.

Hardwick reveals here how Humphrey will take his game to the next level.

3:30PM: SUBS LOCKED IN

Subs have been finalised for Richmond and Gold Coast as Adem Yze and Damien Hardwick prepare to coach their first games at their new clubs. Gold Coast defender Darcy Macpherson ($398,500) is the Suns sub with Richmond youngster Jack Ross ($417,000) the sub for the Tigers. There won’t be many interest from SuperCoach coaches with both making up just 0.5 per cent of squads.

EARLIER: Will Alex Sexton head back?

Alex Sexton was subbed out five times last year and dropped by the Suns. This year he is set to be one of the most popular selections in SuperCoach.

The former forward’s rebirth as a rebounding defender will be complete when Gold Coast faces Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

Tonight, the Giants and Collingwood will complete the round with a preliminary final rematch featuring a host of potential fantasy stars headed by Magpie Nick Daicos.
