AFL great Wayne Carey is set to become a father for the third time with a third woman, with reports that his new girlfriend is pregnant.

According to the Herald Sun, Carey is expecting a baby boy with his new girlfriend Jessica Paulke.

Carey, 47, has two other kids from previous relationships, including 12-year-old daughter Ella with his first wife Sally McMahon and three-year-old Charlotte Milla with former fiancee Stephanie Edwards.

Carey was linked to Paulke, a Victorian model, at the Australian Open tennis in January.

Paulke had previously been a fixture on the red carpet as an AFL WAG when she dated former Geelong player, now Richmond forward Josh Caddy several years ago.

However, rumours of engagement and children have swirled around Carey and Paulke throughout the year, despite the former North Melbourne champion trying to keep his private life private.

Carey has been a noted ladies man in the past, including his highly publicised departure from North Melbourne after an extramarital affair with then-best-friend and teammate Anthony Stevens’s wife at a team party.

Carey will have a role in grand final day as well, being named as part of the Norm Smith Medal judging panel.

He will be joined by 1993 Brownlow medallist Gavin Wanganeen, Sydney coach John Longmire and The West Australian journalist Bridget Lacy to decide the best on ground award in the grand final at the MCG.

The Norm Smith Medal cannot be shared between two players.

In the event of a tie, the player who has polled the most three votes is the winner. If it is still even, the player who has polled the most two votes will win the award. And if it still even, the chairman (Wanganeen) will decide who wins.

Collingwood’s September specialist Steele Sidebottom is the favourite to win the Norm Smith Medal, ahead of teammates Brodie Grundy and Adam Treloar, while West Coast utility Elliot Yeo and dual Coleman medallist Josh Kennedy are also among the top group.

The 2010 Norm Smith medallist, Scott Pendlebury, is also one of the favourites to join Gary Ayres, Andrew McLeod and Luke Hodge as a two-time winner of the prestigious individual award.

Hawthorn superstar Tom Mitchell will feature in the motorcade as this year’s Brownlow medallist, along with 2018 legend Kevin Sheedy.
