A Melbourne home with a confusing pink sign out the front of it has gone viral online, confusing many viewers.
The sign sat out the front of a Dandenong property, with no distinguishable feature other than the QR code evident on the billboard at the front of the home.

The code leads to the CaseyRealEstate agency website, to show that the three-bedroom, two bathroom house was up for rent, but has already been leased.
Shared on reddit, the post has caused a stir on the platform, with more than 160 comments.
“Well... this is interesting,” original poster OgzCheeseHead said, along with the picture.
Viewers were quick to point out the number of flaws with the sign and the marketing concept by the agency.
“If you grabbed a black marker and just drew a couple of little black squares onto that QR I suspect they’d need to replace the whole sign,” one user commented.
You could “print out another QR code and paste it on top – they probably wouldn’t notice,” another said.

How to sweeten the deal when buying a home
CaseyRealEstate agent Komal Borino clarified to the Herald Sun that the signage had been ‘a success’, and that very few issues had arisen with their signage tactic.
“It’s on all of our sale properties and all of our rental properties... you’re going to get good and bad reviews,” Ms Borino said.
“Now everyone just knows it as ‘the pink board’.”
The agency, which has been doing this for a number of months now, did have some push back initially with users not understanding the process, but see it more as a trademark of their business now.
“We had a lot of attention at the start... but now everyone has got used to it,” Ms Borino said.
However, some organisations have had issues when trying to use QR codes on signage.
Previously the City of Melbourne added QR codes to their ‘report graffiti’ signage, which was that pasted over instead with a different code that linked out to a video on graffiti culture.
