Prince Harry emerges in US after court case

Prince Harry has been spotted among a sports crowd in the US while back in the UK, Queen Camilla created an awkward scene after breaking with royal protocol.

Prince Harry has blended in with the crowd during a US sporting even for wounded military veterans at his first public appearance since returning to the US from the UK last week.

The controversial prince was seen looking relaxed among crowds at the Warrior Games, posing with gold medal winners from the United States Special Operations Command.

The Warrior Games – where teams from the US military compete in sporting events – is said to have inspired Prince Harry to set up his own Invictus Games, which next take place in September in Germany.

Prince Harry was in the UK last week to give evidence in his trial against MGN Ltd, where he faced a tough cross examination, becoming the first royal to take the stand since the 1890s.

On his flight back to the US, the Duke of Sussex gifted a copy of his controversial memoir, Spare, to a member of the cabin crew.

Holden Pattern shared a picture of himself and the royal on-board the American Airlines flight to TikTok, claiming he’d found the book “in my luggage that a passenger gave to me”.

QUEEN CAMILLA’S “AWKWARD” BREAK IN PROTOCOL

Meanwhile, a body language expert has revealed Queen Camilla has broken protocol leaving guests feeling “awkward” at a literary event.

The Queen and King Charles met with authors, actors and literature fans at a private reception for the Reading Room Literary Festival over the weekend, attended by stars including Dame Judi Dench, Derek Jacobi and Richard E Grant.

Arriving late due to bad weather, Queen Camilla kissed three friends on the cheek, after they’d bowed and curtsied, creating the awkward situation.

Body language expert Judi James told the Express, greeting rituals – especially royal ones -needed an “element of etiquette rules about them to avoid this kind of awkwardness”.

“Presumably these actor/performer friends of Camilla have offered support and warmth in the past and she seems keen to keep relations at that same level,” she said.

“But now she is Queen there needs to be a proper decision about whether the rituals get an upgrade or not.”

“She also seems to want to do the kind of ‘closeness grading’ rituals she might have done before she became Queen, where friends get the informal cheek kiss and other people get a handshake.

“This is not really an option for a Queen though, as it leaves guests or hosts feeling awkward and it also seems to alienate anyone not in the ‘inner circle’.”

It comes as Prince William is set to unveil a new initiative in his longstanding commitment to helping the homeless, after opening a new housing development for Centrepoint.

Reuben House forms part of Centrepoint’s independent Living Program to combat youth homelessness, with 33 new flats in Peckham, south London, enabling young adults between 18 and 24 to live in affordable housing with rent capped at a third of the residents’ take-home pay.

The heir to the throne spoke with project developers along with residents who have moved into the homes.

Centrepoint’s CEO Seyi Obakin told Peoplehe couldn’t get Prince William “away from the young people”.

“I knew we were running out of time, and every time I said to him, ‘I think it’s time to go,’ he starts a different conversation!”

Prince William teamed up with the charity in 2005 at the beginning of his public life post-university.
