Ukraine war: Fox News reporter Benjamin Hall reveals extent of his injuries after he was shot by Russians

Fox News reporter Benjamin Hall has spoken for the first time since he was shot in Ukraine revealing the extent of his injuries.

A Fox News reporter shot while reporting on the war in Ukraine has revealed he has lost limbs.

Brit Benjamin Hall was injured outside of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on March 14 as the Russian militia started to target journalists.

It was widely reported he had sustained serious injuries including to his leg – but the true extent of the damage to his body was not known until now.

“To sum it up, I’ve lost half a leg on one side and a foot on the other. One hand is being put together, one eye is no longer working, and my hearing is pretty blown … but all in all I feel pretty damn lucky to be here – and it is the people who got me here who are amazing!” Hall tweeted beside a photo of himself in a hospital bed.

Cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski, 55, and a Ukranian journalist, Oleksandra Kuvshynova, 24, died in the attack.

Hall paid tribute to his colleagues in a separate tweet with a photo of Zakrzewski, who was also reportedly a close friend of Hall’s.

“It’s been over three weeks since the attack in Ukraine and I wanted to start sharing it all. But first I need to pay tribute to my colleagues Pierre and Sasha who didn’t make it that day,” he wrote.

Hall is married to Australian Alicia Meller, who works out of the couple’s London home for her family’s Sydney-based celebrity fashion and shoe company Senso. They have three children together.

The reporter has worked with Fox News since 2013. He was promoted to State Department correspondent in 2021 and has reported from war zones in Syria, Iran and Afghanistan.

Hall is marraied to Australian Alicia Meller.
