Real fight to expose UFO X-files revealed amid US congressional hearing

An explosive congressional hearing in the US could be the first step to finding out a truth the White House and Pentagon don’t want people to know.

When UFO whistleblower David Grush stepped in front of a remarkable congressional hearing to testify that he firmly believed in the existence of unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAP) — long the domain of Roswell-obsessed conspiracy theorists and publicly dismissed for decades as a fairy-tale by the US intelligence community — people in very powerful positions didn’t like it.

The US intelligence community, the Pentagon – even NASA – would have been happy if alien life form consisted of X-Files re-runs.

Instead, they were faced with the very public declaration that yes, unexplained anomalous phenomena – the new term for UFOs – could, in fact, exist, and that there was evidence to support this.

“We’ve had a hell of a lot of push back on this; we’ve had members of Congress, members of the intelligence community, also the Pentagon – even NASA backed out on us,” Republican congressman from Tennessee Tim Burchett, who is co-leading the UFO investigation, said. “There are a lot of people who don’t want this to come to light. But we’re done with cover-ups.”

Mr Burchett accused the US intelligence community of “shutting down” any efforts to make information about the existence of alien life form public.

“They either do exist or they don’t exist,” Mr Burchett said. “They keep telling us they don’t exist but they block every opportunity for us to get a hold of the information to prove they do exist.”

Republican Senator Marco Rubio called UAP claims either “biggest story in human history” or “people in really important positions of government that are crazy”.

“Either one is a big problem so we’ve got to work out which one of these two it is because the second one would be troubling.”

Mr Grusch, who led analysis of UAP within a US Department of Defence agency until 2023, told the House oversight committee in Washington DC that “non-human” beings had been found, as the issue of alien life received its most public airing to date.

Mr Grusch also claimed that the US had recovered alien beings after he was asked if “we have the bodies of the pilots who piloted this craft?”

“As I’ve stated publicly already in [a US TV] interview, biologics came with some of these recoveries,” Mr Grusch said.

These biologics, Mr Grusch said, were: “Non-human, and that was the assessment of people with direct knowledge on the program I talked to, that are currently still on the program.”

White House spokesman John Kirby said UAP’s were a “legitimate issue” that have already had an impact on US military training ranges.

“When pilots are trying to train and they see these things and they don’t know what they are and it can have an impact on their ability to perfect their skills,” Mr Kirby said.

“We just want to better understand it. We’re not saying what they are or what they’re not. We’re just saying that there’s something our pilots are seeing and so we want to get to the bottom of it.”

But Mr Grusch told the hearing that the US government had covered up the possible existence of UAP for close to a century, claiming the government had buried knowledge of “non-human” activity as long ago as the 1930s.

He claimed the US government had “very large, like a football-field kind of size” alien aircraft, while he told Le Parisien, a French newspaper, that the US had possession of a “bell-like craft” which Benito Mussolini’s government had recovered in northern Italy in 1933.

Mr Grusch’s stunning claims preceded the “Roswell incident”, which gave birth to the modern movement of UFO sightings by more than a decade.

In 1947, a rancher walked into a local sheriff's office and announced he had found a “flying disk” on his property, about 160km northwest of Roswell Army Air Field in New Mexico.

The following day the base’s public information officer put out a press release stating the US Army Air Forces had recovered a “flying saucer” at the ranch. While military bosses quickly downplayed the statement, it was too late: The legend of Roswell as the “UFO Capital of the World” was born.

Now, NASA is finally getting in on the act, saying it plans to publish its first ever report into UAP publicly, which could land as soon as next week.

This video, posted on the Pentagon's website, was of a UFO incident it said took place in the Middle East on July 12, 2022.

“Unidentified anomalous phenomena has truly captured the attention of the public, of the scientific community and nowadays, the US government as well, and we at NASA strongly believe that it’s our responsibility all working together to investigate these with the scientific scrutiny that NASA is well known for,” Dan Evans. assistant deputy associate administrator for research, NASA’s Science Mission Directorate said.

“We’re trying to assess whether those phenomena pose any risks to safety and we’re doing it using science. NASA believes that the tools of science apply to the study (of) UAP because they allow us to separate fact from fiction. And that’s all part of NASA’s commitment to exploring the unknown, and doing so with the openness, transparency and candour that we’re well accustomed to providing the public.”

With these high profile hearings and NASA’s impending report, more than 75 years later, the truth might finally be out there.
