A former guest on Meghan Markle’s controversial podcast has sparked speculation that the Duchess of Sussex does not actually speak to all of her guests.

Author Allison Yarrow appeared on the Archetypes podcast last week in an episode titled To ‘B’ or not to ‘B’ in which the royal discussed how calling a woman “difficult” is “a code word for the B-word.”

During the episode, Yarrow talked about the origins of the word “b---h”, which she said stemmed from a Greek insult comparing women to “dogs in heat”.

Yarrow’s explanations and comments were apparently edited and interwoven between comments from the Duchess of Sussex in the podcast audio, the New York Post reported.

In a social media post from August, Yarrow shared a photograph of herself in front of a sign for audio production house Gimlet — which produces Archetypes — thanking producer, Farrah Safarfi, for being “an excellent interviewer”.

“Excited to be included in the visionary series Archetypes hosted by Meghan the Duchess of Sussex the aims to dissect and subvert the archetypes that hold women back,” Yarrow wrote in the caption.

“Cheers to producer @farrahsafari (an excellent interviewer) and the folks at @Gimlet @Spotify who get it done,” she added.

While Yarrow appeared not to have spoken to Meghan for the episode, celebrity guests, such as Serena Williams, Mindy Kaling and Paris Hilton, are featured having conversations with the Duchess on the podcast.

The episodes feature Markle in deep conversation with her A-lister friends as well as clips of experts, academics and authors talking about specific topics, including Yarrow, Dr Laura Kay and sociologist Nancy Wang Yuen.

The audio clips of the experts have been interwoven between audio of Markle, so it’s not clear whether or not she spoke to any or all of the experts herself, The New York Post reports.

It comes as another of Markle’s A-lister friends, director and actor Tyler Perry, shared a sweet story about her act of kindness towards one of his staff members during a baby formula shortage.

Speaking at the annual Baby2Baby Gala, which raises funds for children living in poverty, Perry revealed how he called Prince Harry and Markle after one of his employees asked him for help amid a formula shortage in the US, Vanity Fair reports.

His staff member told him that the Duchess of Sussex, who was in London at the time, “was going to stores on their behalf”.

It’s unclear when exactly the call to Markle and Prince Harry took place, but massive formula shortages in the US earlier this year left parents scrambling to feed their children.
