Ghislaine Maxwell was a ‘tyrant’ with Jeffrey Epstein victims, new book claims

New details about Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged ‘madame’ have emerged, with an Australian victim detailing the dark lengths Ghislaine Maxwell went to.

An Australian woman who accused Jeffrey Epstein of sex crimes said Ghislaine Maxwell was a “tyrant” with his victims and was still in love with him despite his “obsession” with young girls.

Accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre said Maxwell “could be a tyrant”, often glaring at her whenever she became distracted from her “work”.

It was clear to Giuffre that Maxwell was in love with Epstein. But Epstein and Maxwell rarely slept together or shared intimate moments, like holding hands or kissing, according to excerpts of a new book, Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story, to be released this week.

“Virginia said this was because Maxwell was never able to satisfy Epstein’s insatiable appetite for girls. Maxwell came to accept his obsession as long as those encounters remained purely sexual,” the excerpt stated, according to Fox News.

The book was penned by Miami Herald investigative reporter Julie K. Brown, who has written extensively on Epstein, and details that Giuffre met Maxwell and Epstein at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago country club in 2000 when she was 16.

Maxwell reportedly approached Giuffre at the country club and asked her if she was a masseuse.

Giuffre, using the nickname “Jenna,” said she hoped to one day become a masseuse, prompting Maxwell to offer her a job interview to work for Epstein.

“Maxwell suggested that Virginia meet (Epstein) to apply for the job. Virginia was sceptical, pointing out that she didn’t have the proper training.

Maxwell assured her that she could learn on the job, noting that it looked as if Virginia was serious about her vocation — based on all the sticky notes she could see poking out of the anatomy book in her hands.

She gave Virginia her address and phone number. “‘Why don’t you come by after work?’ Maxwell left, with a cheery, almost motherly goodbye,” an excerpt of the book said.

Giuffre took her up on the opportunity, and met Epstein at his lavish Palm Beach home.

“Maxwell had prepped her, telling her to treat the session as a tryout. ‘If you do well,’ Maxwell told her, ‘then maybe you could become Jeffrey’s travelling masseuse, seeing the world and getting paid well for it.’ In the beginning, it all seemed legitimate. Maxwell showed Virginia some techniques, starting with Epstein’s feet, and then moving to his calves, instructing her to use upward strokes to push the blood up his legs,” the book said.

Epstein and Maxwell’s relationship with Giuffre grew, with them reportedly asking questions about her childhood and learned she had been a childhood runaway.

During one interaction, the pair “teased” Giuffre for being “a naughty girl,” a label Giuffre denied.

“I’m a good girl. I just was always in the wrong places,” Giuffre replied.

“It’s okay,” Jeffrey replied, according to the book. “I like naughty girls.”

“With that, he flipped over, exposing (himself). She looked at Maxwell for guidance, but the proper English lady was now topless. She began to undress Virginia,” the book said.

Maxwell has denied having a sexual relationship with Giuffre, who said Maxwell and Epstein shared “a kindred hedonism,” with Maxwell facilitating his “obsession” with young girls.

“It was an arrangement whereby she would bring him the girls, and he would give Ghislaine the kind of self-indulgent life that she was accustomed to growing up,” Giuffre said in the book.

Maxwell was arrested last July and charged with enticement of minors, sex trafficking of children, and perjury.

A federal court in New York unsealed dozens of documents in her sex trafficking case last week, including documents from a previous defamation lawsuit filed by Giuffre against Maxwell.

EPSTEIN’S ‘YOUNGER PREY’

Other claims detailed in Perversion of Justice include that Epstein met his first known underage victim at a Michigan summer arts camp to which he had heavily donated.

Brown recounts how Epstein used his fortune to “prey on young girls”, including attendees of arts camp Interlochen, where Epstein had built a lodge on campus.

Epstein would make frequent trips to the camp with his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Maxwell, 59, is charged with recruiting teen girls for Epstein between 1994 and 2004.

She has pleaded not guilty in the case and is being held in a New York jail ahead of her trial.

Perversion of Justice alleges that in 1994, the pair reportedly “befriended” a thirteen-year-old girl at the camp.

“The girl had just lost her father, a classical music conductor, so she was still grieving and vulnerable,” Brown wrote in the excerpt, published by Fox News.

“The camp maintains that they’ve never received a complaint about Epstein, and the woman, who is now living in California, has not spoken publicly.

“In a sworn deposition, Epstein’s former butler, Alessi, mentioned that the girl often visited Epstein’s Florida mansion and in later years, her name appears on the flight logs of his plane,” she added.

Brown noted that a woman, who was not identified, filed a lawsuit in January 2020 alleging a similar meeting with Epstein at the camp when she was 13.

“The woman said she was sitting alone on a bench between classes when Epstein and Maxwell approached her, telling her that they were arts patrons who wanted to give talented young artists like her scholarships,” the excerpt says.

In the lawsuit, the woman alleges Epstein and Maxwell began asking her questions about her background, with Epstein eventually asking for her phone number. Epstein later contacted the girl’s mother, claiming he “helped young talent,” and invited both of them to his mansion in Palm Beach.

“Over the next several months, Epstein and Maxwell tried to groom the thirteen-year-old girl. He told her to call him her ‘godfather’, and Maxwell befriended her like an older sister, the suit claims,” Brown writes.

“They took her to the movies, went shopping, and invited her to spend more and more time at the estate. Soon, the sexual comments started.”

Epstein is said to have paid for the girl’s music lessons and gave money to her mother.

The book says Epstein assaulted the girl for several years, with Maxwell allegedly scolding her if she resisted his advances. Epstein allegedly moved the girl and her mother to an apartment in New York and paid for her to attend a private school.

“In 1999, when she was eighteen, she finally left him and moved away to start a new life. For a while, Epstein repeatedly called and berated her for not appreciating him. But soon, the calls stopped.

“By then Epstein had moved on to new, younger prey,” the excerpt says.

Epstein took his life while in federal prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
