Donald Trump drafts order to ‘obliterate’ Iran if he is assassinated in chilling warning

Donald Trump has issued a chilling warning to Iran claiming he has drafted an order to “obliterate” the country if it assassinates him, saying he has “left instructions”.

‘We want peace’: Trump meets with Netanyahu at White House

US President Donald Trump has drafted an order to “obliterate” Iran if it assassinates him.

The President made the statement on Tuesday in the Oval Office as he signed an order to reinstate maximum pressure on Tehran.

“If they did that, they would be obliterated. That would be the end,” Mr Trump said.

“I’ve left instructions. If they do it, they get obliterated. There won’t be anything left, and they shouldn’t be able to do it. And Biden should have said that, but he never did. I don’t know why. Lack of intelligence, perhaps.”

Mr Trump said that he was reluctantly signing the anti-Iran order to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The US alleges Iran has sought to assassinate Mr Trump and various officials who served in his first administration as payback for the Trump-ordered assassination of General Qasem Soleimani in 2020.

MUSK CHAMPIONS HIS BABY-FACED GENIUS POSSE

Elon Musk has championed the baby-faced boy geniuses being trolled after he recruited them to his government efficiency department.

Musk has vowed to protect the swath of young tech prodigies he hired to help cut costs as part of his Department of Government Efficiency after critics slammed their ages and lack of experience.

The DOGE dream team includes Edward Coristine, 19, a student at Northeastern University in Boston who interned for Mr Musk after finishing high school.

Perhaps the most well-known face in the group is Luke Farritor, 23, who self identifies as a “nerd” in the bio of his now locked private X account.

Mr Farritor received global acclaim after he used AI to decipher a 2,000-year-old Vesuvius scroll from Pompeii which scientists had failed to interpret for centuries.

After the identities of several of the young engineers were revealed, their ages and relative inexperience were mocked and a number of the young men received death threats causing them to delete or lock down their social media accounts.

“Threatening or encouraging murder is a crime. Those who do so will go to prison,” Mr Musk wrote on X with regards to the threats made against engineers’ lives.

He also called out those who were doxxing – releasing sensitive personal information – the young geniuses, pointing out “it is against the law”.

Mr Musk also retweeted a number of posts which pointed out the grand achievements of many young people throughout history.

CRIMINAL MIGRANTS SENT TO GUANTANAMO BASE

The United States is starting to fly detained migrants to America’s notorious Guantanamo military base in Cuba as part of President Trump’s crackdown on illegal migration, officials said Tuesday.

The controversial detention centre has been used for suspects accused of terrorism-related offences but the base also has a history of being used to detain migrants.

Last week Mr Trump ordered the preparation of a 30,000-person “migrant facility” at the base.

“Today, the first flights from the United States to Guantanamo Bay with illegal migrants are underway,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Fox Business.

A US defence official told AFP Tuesday afternoon that there is a “flight scheduled today to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay with about a dozen high-threat illegal aliens.”

“They will be housed in the detention facility … but will not be co-located with high-value detainees currently at the detention facility,” the official said on condition of anonymity.

Mr Trump has launched what his second administration is casting as a major effort to combat illegal migration, trumpeting immigration raids, arrests and deportations on military aircraft.

The president has made the issue a priority on the international stage as well, threatening Colombia with sanctions and massive tariffs for turning back two plane loads of deportees.

The Guantanamo prison was opened in the wake of the September 11, 2001, attacks and has been used to indefinitely hold detainees seized during the wars and other operations that followed.

‘PERFECT PLACE’

The conditions there have prompted consistent outcry from rights groups, and UN experts have condemned it as a site of “unparalleled notoriety.” Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden both sought to close the facility, but Congress has opposed efforts to shutter Guantanamo and it remains open to this day.

It still holds 15 people incarcerated for militant activity or terrorism-related offences, among them several accused plotters of the 9/11 attacks, including self-proclaimed mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

According to US Southern Command, there are some 300 American military personnel at Guantanamo supporting “illegal alien holding operations.”

The base has for decades been used to hold Caribbean asylum seekers and refugees caught at sea, and was used in the 1990s to house tens of thousands of Haitians and Cubans who fled crises in their homelands.

They were accommodated in tent cities, with many eventually sent home after being held at Guantanamo for years.

Thousands of undocumented migrants have been arrested since Mr Trump’s January 20 inauguration, including some accused of crimes.

An unknown number have been repatriated to Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil and other countries, and Mr Trump has vowed to expel millions.

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth on Monday described Guantanamo as the “perfect place” to detain migrants as he visited the border with Mexico — an area where the Trump administration has boosted the country’s military presence in recent weeks.

The Pentagon will provide any necessary assets “to support the expulsion and detention of those in our country illegally,” Hegseth said.

20K WORKERS TAKE TRUMP’S BUYOUT OFFER

Thousands of federal workers have accepted the Trump administration’s buyout offer — taking eight months’ pay and benefits in exchange for walking away from the government workforce, The Post has learned.

Employees have until Thursday to decide whether to accept the offer, which the White House hopes will reduce the federal payroll by between 5% and 10%.

Axios first reported Tuesday that close to 20,000 federal workers had accepted the offer, an amount representing less than 1% of government personnel.

“I can tell you the 20K number isn’t current, the number of deferred resignations is rapidly growing, and we’re expecting the largest spike 24 to 48 hours before the deadline,” a White House official told The Post.

The buyout offer is believed to apply to at least 2.3 million federal employees.

If the administration reaches its goal of 5% to 10% of the federal workforce accepting the offer, it believes that could save taxpayers close to $100 billion.

US STRIKES DEAL WITH EL SALVADOR

It comes as US Secretary of State Marco Rubio struck a deal with El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele which he says represents “the most unprecedented, extraordinary, extraordinary migratory agreement anywhere in the world.”.

“We can send them and he will put them in his jails,” Mr Rubio told reporters in El Salvador.

“And, he’s also offered to do the same for dangerous criminals currently in custody and serving their sentences in the United States even though they’re US citizens or legal residents.”

Mr Bukele wrote on X he had offered to house the inmates in his notorious 40,000-person-capacity maximum-security prison.

“We have offered the United States of America the opportunity to outsource part of its prison system,” Mr Bukele wrote.

“We are willing to take in only convicted criminals (including convicted US citizens) into our mega-prison in exchange for a fee,” he added.

“The fee would be relatively low for the US but significant for us, making our entire prison system sustainable.”

El Salvador Offers to Jail US Criminals in 'Mega Prison'

Mr Rubio appeared to be having a wonderful time during his trip to beautiful El Salvador.

El Salvador’s Presidency Press Office released a number of picturesque photos of Mr Rubio being welcomed to Mr Bukele’s sun-drenched home to discuss the historic agreement.

The photos are in stark contrast to those which have emerged from inside the infamous prison.

The prison in question is El Salvador’s Centre for the Confinement of Terrorism – one of the largest jails in Latin America.

The deal comes after the President signalled his intentions to a speech to House Republicans last week.

“We also have many violent criminals in our country, however, that did not necessarily come here illegally but have been arrested 30 times, 35 times, 41, 42 times … for murder (and) other heinous charges,” Mr Trump said.

“I don’t want these violent repeat offenders in our country any more than I want illegal aliens from other countries in.

“This is subject to getting it approved, but if they’ve been arrested many, many times (and) they’re repeat offenders by many numbers, I want them out of our country.”
