THE WIFE of an Australian man killed in a freak accident with his son in Thailand has paid tribute to the pair online.

Somrudi Krailob Fenwick, 41, mourned the death of her husband Andrew Fenwick, 66, who died after being electrocuted while using a wrench to work on a pump next to his pool at his Rayong house in Thailand.

The former Melbourne man’s son, Jason, 10, also died when he stepped in a puddle while running to his father’s aid.

Local media reports the British-born Australian was electrocuted by a water leak that had been running along electrical cables.

His second son, Justin, 4, saw the tragedy and ran crying into the street for help.

Ms Fenwick shared pictures of her family in an emotional tribute on Facebook.

“We will be together forever. I’ll talk to you every day, will look at you every day. Love you forever Jason and Andrew,” she wrote.

Ms Fenwick, who goes by Ning on Facebook, arrived home to be warned by neighbours of the death of her husband and son.

“This is terrible,” she told local media. “I’m heartbroken. My husband and son gone at the same time.

“Andrew was so confident with tools, he was an engineer. I don’t know how this has happened.”

Mr Fenwick, who formerly lived in Melbourne, had retired in recent years.

He studied mechanical engineering at RMIT University in the 1970s and had worked as a construction manager for over 30 years.

Family and friends have also mourned the tragedy on social media.

Relative Lisa Fenwick said the family were “loved and loving.”

“(Andrew was) a great dad full of love and kindness to all his sons and daughter, always full of laughter and fun,” she wrote.

“Rest in peace handsome young man and cradle up with your beloved daddy.”

Rescue workers had to cut the power to the property before the bodies could be recovered.

Police Captain Kaweewuth Boonruang confirmed the two dead were Australian citizens.

“The son saw the incident and ran to help not knowing there was a leak and he was electrocuted,” he said. “He had burns from the fire on his hands, his body and his face.”

Last month Australian businessman Rogar Hussey, 71, was killed at the Thai beach resort island of Phuket in a tragic parasailing accident.

The Perth man plunged 30m to his death shortly after lifting off, when he reportedly pulled a release hook on his harness by accident.

And Victorian woman Emily Jayne Collie, 20, also died off Phuket this year in a jetski crash with her boyfriend.
