Astroworld tragedy: Shocking moment cops drop unconscious woman on her head

This is the shocking moment in the chaos of Travis Scott’s Astroworld crowd crush, when a woman was dropped by cops – as the rapper’s brushes with the law emerge. WARNING: Graphic

Kylie Jenner has responded to backlash about her boyfriend Travis Scott continuing to perform and her posting to social media during the Astroworld disaster

Houston police dropped an unconscious woman on her head as they tried to rescue her from the Astroworld crowd crush tragedy.

Horrifying video of the moment showed the woman slide off a stretcher and land on her head on the ground below.

Onlookers can be heard screaming as the woman crashed to the ground with a sickening thud, her arms flailing as she did so.

It appears the cops were pulling the stretcher off the stage, or another raised platform. Two officers can be seen calling for help and were possibly distracted as the other rescuers began to lift the stretcher down.

Scott has previously been accused of inciting crowds to storm the stage at concerts, including one where a fan was left paralysed.

The rapper - whose Astroworld festival in Houston descended into tragedy with eight people killed at the weekend - was sued after a 2017 incident in New York City where a fan was pushed from a balcony after Scott allegedly urged concertgoers to jump into the crowd below.

“Don’t be scared,” Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, can allegedly be heard telling his fans in a video from the concert.

“They’re going to catch you”.

Kyle Green fell to the ground and was then dragged by fans to the stage so a “consolation prize” of a ring could be placed on his finger. But the 23-year-old had fractured vertebrae, a broken left wrist and fractured right ankle.

He is now partially paralysed and needs a wheelchair.

“I fell and hit the floor,” Green told the NY Post. “Before I knew it, I was surrounded by security guards, who scooped me up.

“Travis Scott was yelling at his security guards to bring me to the stage...I was in a lot of pain. I just laid there, and finally, an ambulance came.’’

Mr Green sued Scott, the venue and security guards, with his lawsuit alleging “recklessness”. He further alleged Scott incited “mayhem and chaos at prior events”.

The case is still pending, but a separate case from an incident that occurred earlier in 2017 has been settled in court.

Several people were injured at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavillion after Scott encouraged people to join him on stage and ignore safety protocols.

Scott pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after a plea deal that saw more serious charges dropped.

A third incident in 2015 saw Scott charged with disorderly conduct during his Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. He allegedly encouraged fans to jump barriers and charge towards the stage during the packed show, defying festival security measures.

He was sentenced to one year of probation.

Video from the concert showed him taunting security and yelling at them to get out of the way. He was sentenced to one year probation after pleading guilty, the Associated Press reported.

In a GQ interview that year he invoked live wrestling when speaking about his performances: “I always want to make it feel like it’s the WWF or some s**t. You know, raging and having fun and expressing good feelings is something I plan on doing and spreading across the globe.”

“We don’t like people who just stand,” he said.
