Report of officer Daniel Rodriguez:
Upon arrival we made contact with security and was escorted to the victim (Neilson) who stated that her boyfriend of over two years smashed a wine glass on her mouth, causing a laceration to her mouth and neck.
Fire rescue was offered and refused by the victim. The victim advised the officer the offender (defendant) had gone upstairs to the room in which both parties were staying in (#1215).
Wayne Carey: Return to main report
I entered the room and approached the defendant. I called out once again with no response, I then tapped defendant on the shoulders and defendant woke up. The defendant yelled obscenities and once again I identified ourselves as police officers for the Miami police dept.
At this point he became aggressive, jumped out of bed and became confrontational towards these officers. The defendant was told to settle down, clam down and please have a seat.
The defendant continued to say obscenities and pushed this officer. While avoiding further incident, Officer Camilo attempted to grab the defendant at which time he fell back on to the bed and kicked this officer with his right leg on my lower left lip area.
I attempted to place the defendant into custody. In the process the defendant elbowed Officer Camilo on the face. The defendant was turned around to his stomach on to the bed and placed into restraints.
