Teenager, 16, has spleen removed, fights for life in induced coma after alleged horror stabbing in Perth’s southeast

A teenager has been left fighting for life following an alleged horror stabbing, with police revealing the extent of his injuries as they search for two knife-wielding boys who allegedly fled.

A teenager has had his spleen removed and remains in an induced coma following an alleged horror stabbing during a fight between six other boys in Perth’s southeast.

Detectives are now appealing for public assistance into the alleged incident on Friday after two other teenagers, armed with knives, were allegedly seen fleeing.

A WA Police spokeswoman said an altercation allegedly occurred between a group of up to six youths at 3pm that day on Ravenscroft Way near Regina Dr, in Kelmscott.

The teenage victim, 16, was allegedly stabbed in the stomach.

The spokeswoman said the child remains in an induced coma at Royal Perth Hospital.

“His spleen has been removed and he will require further surgery and he remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital,” she said.

Detectives are seeking to identify two people pictured below who can assist them with the investigation.

The second male is described as light skinned, with a moustache, and was wearing a black jacket, black pants with a white stripe, black shoes, and a black cap.

Detectives are urging anyone who saw, or who has any information relating to this incident, or who has CCTV, dashcam or mobile vision of the above area taken between 2.25pm and 3.30pm, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
