A New Zealand cat has been abducted, shaved and a swastika drawn on its back, leaving the cat's owners perplexed.
Christchurch resident Jess McGiffin says she doesn't think the attack is racially motivated - her husband James is Filipino - but probably the work of naughty teenagers.
"It had obviously just happened. I just cried,'' she told NZ Stuff website. "It's so horrible. I just couldn't believe it.''

The cat, one-year-old Turbo, was attacked yesterday, but appeared to be unfazed by its treatment.
Its whiskers had been cut off, the top of its head and a patch on its back shaved and a swastika drawn with a vivid marker.
"I honestly don't know who would be behind it. I've lived in Burnside pretty much my whole life and we've been in this house for three years ... there's been nothing like this, ever,'' she told AAP.
``I just reckon it's some silly teenagers.''
The attack has been reported to both police and the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
