Walker discovers human remains in SA parkland

A member of the public has made a disturbing discovery while walking through a park in South Australia.

Human remains have been found in a park in South Australia.

Emergency services were called to Hale Conservation Park in Williamstown, 50km northeast of Adelaide, around 1.15pm on Tuesday after a member of the public made the disturbing discovery.

“Police and emergency services are at a conservation park in Williamstown after human remains were found this afternoon,” a SA Police spokesperson said.

Local police blocked off the area on Tuesday afternoon and have remained at the scene overnight.

Crime scene investigators travelled to the scene on Wednesday morning and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the person’s death.

SA Police confirmed that the remains had not yet been removed from the site and were unsure when the park would reopen to the public.
