Daniel Andrews and Matthew Guy didn’t hold back on the punches in Wednesdayt night’s debate, when 100 undecided voters put the politicians on the spot.
The Donkey Vote podcast team hung on every word to give you their take on the fight.
Herald Sun columnist Mitchell Toy said the debate took a quick turn from the friendly handshake between the two leaders.
“You could tell that if there was no one in the room and they had permission, they might fight each other, and I would buy a ticket to that fight,” Mr Toy said.
State Politics Editor Matt Johnston said the dynamic of the debate changed when the leaders started talking over each other.
“It got quite heated but it was a good forum for that, and it made the two leaders step out of their comfort zone,” Johnston said.
