Voting in the Voice to Parliament referendum opens at 8am on Saturday and closes at 6pm.
If you’re in Townsville and fancy a sausage sizzle/democracy sausage as you vote, you can get a snag at Townsville Central State School in North Ward, Townsville South State School, which is also having a fete, and Phoenix Netball Club Hall in Hermit Park.
Belgian Gardens State School, St Clare’s Catholic School in Burdell and Northern Beaches High School in Deeragun have a sausage sizzle on outside polling stations as well.
The Australian Electoral Commission said on Thursday about 4 million of Australia’s 17.6m enrollees had cast their vote already.
