Where to vote in North Queensland for Saturday’s Voice referendum

Voting in the Voice to Parliament referendum opens at 8am Saturday. Here’s everything you need to know about where to get a sausage sizzle — and vote — across North Queensland.

The Voice - What changes and how

Voting in the Voice to Parliament referendum opens at 8am on Saturday and closes at 6pm.

If you’re in Townsville and fancy a sausage sizzle/democracy sausage as you vote, you can get a snag at Townsville Central State School in North Ward, Townsville South State School, which is also having a fete, and Phoenix Netball Club Hall in Hermit Park.

Belgian Gardens State School, St Clare’s Catholic School in Burdell and Northern Beaches High School in Deeragun have a sausage sizzle on outside polling stations as well.

The Australian Electoral Commission said on Thursday about 4 million of Australia’s 17.6m enrollees had cast their vote already.
