Locals are reporting growing chaos on Townsville’s roads, with a convoy of five stolen vehicles spotted tearing up the Townsville Ring Road at 3.20am Monday, driving on the wrong side of the road.

The reckless thieves even filmed their exploits, posting clips to Instagram showing a convoy of cars, including a white Ford Ranger and two Ford Ranger Raptors, lined up like trophies.

In the video, a group of boys jump in and out of the cars, while captioning their antics with: “TSV n MIB. Not bad my brothers.”

Police have since confirmed that one of the featured Rangers was stolen from Mount Louisa during the early hours of Sunday after thieves broke into a home at 12.30am and made off with car keys and other belongings.

The ute is still missing.

Another Raptor in the same video was nabbed from Douglas on Saturday night.

Two suspects entered a home around 8.25pm, took keys, and fled in the high-powered Raptor.

That vehicle was later dumped at Banfield Drive in Mount Louisa and recovered by police around 4am Monday.
