A man has been taken into custody after he allegedly drove into a parked car on Ross River Rd.
About 7.15pm police were called to the crash in Mundingburra in which a ute had struck a parked vehicle near the corner of Bartlett Ave and Ross River Rd.
Police then took the man into custody.
Two stable patients were taken to Townsville University Hospital after the incident.
Paramedics have also responded to a house fire on Maria St, Rasmussen.
No patients were transported from the scene.
According to Qld Traffic there was a single-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Giru about 8:50pm.
Earlier in the evening, there was a multi-vehicle crash at Hervey Range Rd, Thuringowa Central.
Man hurt after car flips on Bruce Hwy, Townsville
A male in his 20s has been injured after his vehicle rolled in Townsville, with emergency responders on scene at another accident and a separate report of a vehicle on fire.
Queensland Police Service said a car had reportedly rolled and landed back on its wheels in a single-vehicle incident on the Bruce Highway at Shaw about 5.45pm.
Queensland Fire Department has sent to crews to the incident near the intersection of Shaw Road.
Queensland Ambulance Service said one patient, a male in his 20s, was “encased in the vehicle” but the extent of his injuries were not yet know.
QPS said the accident had blocked a lane to traffic.
Emergency services are also responding to an earlier accident in Thuringowa Central about 5.30pm.
QFD are also on scene of a reported car fire in Annandale just after 6pm.
