A teacher and mother of three hopes to provide a self-care haven for Townsville women to relax and reinvigorate their lives.
Sensational Girls Network owner Julie Vigor will hold a two-day adult friendship retreat in the name of empowering and connecting women.
Ms Vigor said the event would feature Latin dancing classes, art therapy, live music, a high tea and guest speaker Amanda Carr from The Pink Tribe and Business in Heels.
“Other retreats concentrate on relaxation and meditation but I want to offer something a little different that was more concentrating on fun, laughter and connection with the ladies,” she said. “At the end of the weekend I want the ladies to feel revitalised because day to day life can get a little tiring.”
Ms Vigor is studying health and wellness.
She said the retreat would also include “deep and meaningful discussions”.
“A lot of women put themselves down and feel they are not good enough or not working enough,” she said.
“But I want the ladies to be able to walk away with some strategies to cope with daily life and value who they are as a woman.”
The event will be held on February 6 and 7 at Allure Hotel and Apartments with tickets able to be purchased on the Sensational Girls Network Facebook page.
