The duo will add a touch of “love” to people’s wedding day, anniversary celebrations and engagement parties, offering jumbo decorative letters spelling l.o.v.e for hire.
Mr Ellis moonlighted as a wedding DJ for four years before moving to Townsville to host the radio breakfast slot with Crystal Vas in 2017.
“Weddings are such a fun time and we want to help other people make their wedding unique,” he said.
After accidentally stumbling across the custom-made 2m-high letters, Mr Ellis said he instantly fell in love. “A local guy made them a couple of years ago and I saw them in his garage and I said I will take those,” he said.
The couple will be celebrating their third anniversary in December, with Mr Ellis saying the letters would definitely make an appearance at their celebration.
“My spare bedroom is full of love letters so it’s weird now that I have to tell people that they can’t come stay,” he said.
