A toddler has been injured in a crash between a motorbike and a kangaroo in one of several incidents attended by emergency services around the region overnight.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics attended a private property in Jensen on Tuesday after a motorcycle reportedly collided with a kangaroo at 6.42pm.

“Two stable patients were assessed, including an adult male and a male toddler,” QAS said.

“The toddler was transported to Townsville University Hospital stable with lacerations.”

One male patient was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.

A few hours later, a motorist was trapped following a single-vehicle rollover on Probert Road, Bambaroo at 4.26am.

According to QAS, the patient declined transport after being extricated from the vehicle.
