Tiktok star baby Boaz takes the internet by storm weighing 14kg at nine months old

A nine-month-old baby who is the size of a three year old is taking the internet by storm, amassing over 100k followers and millions of likes.

Baby Boaz, who weighs in at 14 kilograms, has gone viral on TikTok for his cute rolls and bubbly personality, racking up millions of views on videos.

The chubba bubba’s parents Bryhar and Mark Pelizzari were shocked to realise their newborn was stacking on weight quicker than normal after he was born weighing 8.8 pounds.

“At his two-week check-up he gained almost a kilo, and usually (babies) lose weight so it was from the get go,” Ms Pelizzari said.

“By four months he was 11 kilos.”

The average weight for a nine-month-old according to Children’s Health Queensland is 9kg.

Ms Pelizzari decided to begin making videos with Boaz after she realised he was larger than the average baby.

“I saw other big babies on TikTok and I thought ‘he’s way bigger’ so I knew that if I made a video it would do well,” she said.

“Some of my friends have one-and-a-half to two-year-old and we’d meet up and he was bigger than them.”

The first video she made was when Boaz was six months old, weighing in at 13 kilos.

“I made a video and it went viral and then I made another video about how he didn’t fit into any size nappies … and it was just a cute video of him being himself just smiling and laughing at the camera and I think (his personality) made it go more viral,” Ms Pelizzari said.

Occasionally she will receive comments about Boaz being overfed or obese but she reassures her followers multiple check ups with their doctor show he is completely healthy and just a “big boy”.

His mum hopes he will have a future in basketball with his growth charts estimating his full grown height to be between six to seven feet tall.

“I played basketball so I want him to get into basketball,” she said.

Not only does he gain attention from people online, but he is also loved by the general public, drawing people in with his cute curls, big blue eyes and cheeky smile.

“He hates being at home, we have to go out every day and he just sits in the pram and smiles at everyone,” Ms Pelizzari said.

“He’s very social and he just loves looking at everyone’s faces.”

Ms Pelizzari, who describes herself as having a small frame, said there’s unique challenges to having a big baby like Boaz.

“He wears three-year-olds’ clothing,” she said.

“I have to wear a toddler carrier everywhere because I can’t carry him, I can’t carry him with one arm either.

“I couldn’t really do pull ups before him and now I can do them.”

Being a big baby doesn’t slow him down however, with his new crawling skills taking him on the move but his mum thinks he may take a bit longer to walk as he learns to bear his own weight.
