Police investigate ram raid on a Currajong skate store

A Townsville skate store has been targeted by ram raiders once again, less than five months after the business was attacked twice in one week.

Popular skate store Cre8tive Sk8 has been targeted in an early morning ram raid, causing thousands of dolalrs worth of damage.

Footage shared by the shop on Facebook shows a car smashing through the front door at just before 5am.

Police said a number of items were stolen from the Hammett Street business, and investigations were underway.

“We have no words for this,” Cre8tive Sk8 said in a Facebook post.

The attack comes less than 5 months after the business was ram raided on November 26 and December 2, 2024.

VaVoom Room, which is next to Cr8tive Sk8, was also targetted, with damage done to the back of their shop.

On their Facebook page, the business said the damage was caused by a “a bunch of low-life scumbags” and encouraged people to come for a moody dance class.

Ute drives onto the grass at Currajong Park

The ute was also seen driving onto Currajong Park, which is just behind the Hammett St shops.
