A Townsville woman police believe is responsible for the cold case murder of Tanya Lee Glover, whose body spent more than 10 years hidden inside a wall, can finally be named.

Police are pressing charges of murder, misconduct with a corpse, and fraud against 61-year-old Wulguru woman Vanessa Lee Turner.

Ms Turner was arrested by police at her Wulguru home on Friday, March 28.

Ms Turner’s charges were mentioned in Townsville Magistrates Court on Saturday, March 29, without her being present.

The Legal Aid Queensland duty lawyer representing Ms Turner asked for the case to be transferred to the Brisbane Magistrates Court.

The ‘body in the wall’ was discovered in 2022 when wrapped human remains were located at an Alderley unit complex in Brisbane.

After extensive forensic analysis the body was identified as Tanya Lee Glover, who police believe was likely murdered in 2010 when she was 38-years-old.
