A car has rolled on the Bruce Highway south of Townsville in what Queensland Police Service believe could be a “hit and run” incident involving a truck.

A car has rolled on the Bruce Highway south of Townsville in what Queensland Police Service believe could be a “hit and run” incident involving a truck.
Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed a single vehicle had flipped on the highway at near the Piralko Road intersection at Mount Surround at 1.53pm.
A QAS spokesman said the single occupant of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, was listed in a stable condition with no reported injuries.
A QPS spokeswoman said the incident had been reported as a potential hit and run involving a truck that had continued driving.
She said the driver of the vehicle may have taken evasive action to avoid a potential collision and the truck driver may not be aware of the accident.
There are no reports the highway is closed, she said.
Queensland Fire Department are also on scene.
