An iconic Townsville pub has revealed its new look after a $1.2 million makeover, with beer garden fanatics promised something special.
Stage one of the revamped Mansfield Hotel was unveiled on November 23, and is now home to a street-style beer garden which sports a container bar and kitchen.
The beer garden kitchen offers customers classic pub bites such as burgers and hot dogs.
Venue manager Chloe Davey said she was excited to see customers enjoy the renovated area.
“We are so excited to have unveiled (the hotel’s) completely transformed beer garden, front bar, entertainment-led back room and new food offering,” Ms Davey said.
“We’ve created a new entertainment hub and go-to destination for both locals and tourists to get together under one roof.”
The grungy back room of the hotel is set to offer up many nights of live entertainment.
Upcoming entertainment acts at the venue include Jeff Martin on December 2 and Northlane on December 3.
Opening dates for the second and final stage of the renovation, encompassing The Warehouse, are yet to be confirmed.
