Man, 35, killed in single-vehicle crash on Flinders Hwy at Hughenden

A 35-year-old Cloncurry man has been identified as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash on the Flinders Highway as police continue investigate the cause. Here’s the latest.

A 35-year-old Cloncurry man has been identified as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash on the Flinders Highway, west of Townsville.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man died in a crash at Hughenden just before 9.30am Monday.

Initial investigations indicate a white 2022 Nissan Navara utility was travelling east along the Flinders Highway when it left the road and crashed.

The male driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information or relevant vision, to come forward. Quote this reference number: QP2301471785
