Hughenden crime: Stick-wielding teen threatens woman in midnight break-in
A teenage boy armed with a stick allegedly threatened to assault a woman multiple times after she caught him breaking into her house.

A teenage boy armed with a stick allegedly threatened to assault a woman multiple times after she caught him breaking into her house.
Police said a 53-year-old woman woke up to find a male intruder in her house armed with a stick just before midnight on Tuesday in Hughenden.
He allegedly threatened to assault her several times before leaving on foot with stolen personal items.
The male intruder managed to evaded police in a stolen vehicle from a nearby street.
But a 16-year-old boy handed himself into the front counter of the Hughenden Police Station at about 1.30am in relation to the incident.
He was arrested and is due to appear in Townsville’s Children’s Court on Wednesday.
