A Townsville personal trainer is drawing strength from his clients’ transformations to keep him constantly striving to lead a healthy life.
Brodie Stewart recently opened The Fitness League at Kirwan, offering one-on-one training and group sessions.
He said the new gym would be a place where his clients could get fit and also get advice for their health.
“My work, in a way, is basically improving people’s lifestyle, which gives me a sense of happiness,” he said.
“It also gives me a sense of fulfilment being a health and fitness coach, knowing I have helped someone improve their life.”
After discovering the gym at age 15, Mr Stewart started his personal training business four years later.
Being fit and healthy has helped Mr Stewart navigate his own physical and emotional health battles.
“I struggle with mental health issues and I was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, ADHD and bipolar in 2019,” he said.
“Every achievement my clients make keeps me going.”
He said The Fitness League catered for all exercise and health levels.
“I am a very functional movement kind of trainer and I take someone’s lifestyle and program the exercise around it,” he said.
“I also want to focus on building a community as well as improving everyone’s lifestyle.”
