Lauren Armstrong’s introduction to motherhood has been nothing like she imagined thanks to COVID-19 but getting to experience her first Mother’s Day was special.
Enjoying the sunshine and fresh air on a picnic blanket, the first-time mum to three-month-old Evelyn Mead said a trip outdoors was the greatest gift in months.
“We’ve been mostly been staying at home and avoiding going out especially to shopping centres,” Ms Armstrong said. And while Ms Armstrong has been doing everything in her power to protect her little one, her partner Ross Mead said she had taken to motherhood like a complete natural.
“I was super proud of her when little Evie arrived, mum did absolutely perfect and she does really well (as a mum),” Mr Mead said. “Now Evie is looking after dad and sleeping eight hours a night so mum can get some rest.”
