Celebrating the Christmas spirit while raising money for Aussie farmers has been at the top of the agenda for a Douglas family.
Swan Court homeowner Peter Bennett has decorated his home with 18,000 lights synchronised to 35 songs.
The lights have taken Mr Bennett 900 hours to synchronise to music and has attracted an audience every night since December 1.
Mr Bennett said he had so far raised $500 for Buy a Bale from generous public donations for a second year in a row.
“The Christmas light show is about being able to take something that is ordinary and turn it into something spectacular,” he said.
“We love to give to the farmers because it is such a great charity and in-line with community spirit.”
It has taken Mr Bennett five years to design the one and a half-hour display taking one week to put up and four hours to take down.
Mr Bennett was hoping he would raise more money from his festive light display encouraging people to come watch the show until December 27 at 7 Swan Court, Douglas.
