Condon crash: Townsville motorbike rider critically injured

A Townsville motorcyclist was rushed to hospital after coming off his bike in a single-vehicle crash.

A Townsville motorbike rider has been critically injured in a crash on Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened about 5.45pm on Hervey Range Rd at Condon, between Golf Links Drive and Beck Drive.

A 40-year-old Kelso man was taken to Townsville University Hospital with critical injuries.

Senior Sergeant Jonathan Searle said the forensic crash unit were investigating the single-vehicle crash.

The rider left the road after failing to take a right-hand bend and went into a ditch, the Senior Sergeant said.

The man was in a critical condition on Friday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.
