Traffic is blocked after a motorist took out a set of traffic lights in Condon, emergency services say.

Queensland Police Service confirmed that a vehicle had struck and knocked over the lights on Beck Drive, blocking north-bound traffic, at 3.39pm.

Multiple emergency crews are on scene and traffic is being diverted.

There are no reports that the incident involves a stolen vehicle.

Queensland Ambulance Service said it was too early to say if there had been any injuries.

Meanwhile, a QAS spokesman said it had responded to report a man had been badly injured by a cow on a private rural property in Basalt west of Townsville at 15.12am.

More to come.
