A Bushland Beach pup-parent who was on a mission to control her pet’s allergies has enjoyed success finding the cure to her dog’s symptoms.

A Bushland Beach pup-parent who was on a mission to control her pet’s allergies has enjoyed success finding the cure to her dog’s symptoms.
Ten-year-old weimaraner, Aaron, suffered from bald patches and itchy feet and ears until owner Sue Evans-Lane vowed to get to the bottom of the problem.

“I started going through the process of elimination and changing his biscuits and I saw a slight progress but not enough,” she said.
“So then I started to make my own treats for him,” she said.
In a bid to feed Aaron a healthy diet, Ms Evans-Lane enrolled in a Diploma of Nutrition for Companion Pets course at the National College of Traditional Medicine for equine and companion pets. Graduating in June this year after 30 months of study, Ms Evans-Lane said the course had opened her eyes.
“You learn about what they should be eating as opposed to the commercial side of food that we are taught as dog owners,” she said.
While undertaking the course, Ms Evans-Lane started her healthy dog food and treats business Aaron and Me last November.
